@lesliedouglasx@cmclymer This bloke loves using the word ‘luck’. You’re lucky to be born. Lucky to be able to afford a device you can argue with strangers who you’ll never meet. Lucky to be able to type the word luck about some fella you’ve never met. Unlucky enough to not be able to enjoy a great story!
Well Pat Cummins becoming a national hero is a handy reminder that whenever you see this criticism, it’s worth nothing. Nothing. It’s just an excuse to trash someone.
Remember this: the crazies on the far right and left are the minority in the real world. They dominate social media because it is anti-social & rewards behavior that would leave you with no friends in reality. But they are hard to find if you lift your eyes up from your phone.
I am pleased to confirm that Ms Cheng Lei has arrived safely home in Australia, and has been reunited with her two children and her family.
I spoke with her on the phone this afternoon. This is an outcome the Australian government has been seeking for a long time.
Last year, working in Ireland, having a pint in the cold outside a Dalkey pub with some new friends, a woman with purpose strode past us. Puffy parker zipped to the nape and her bowed head covered in a scarf. One of my new friends muttered an exclamation, jumped up
When her second cup was taking on the night air, she rose, embraced us all and strode away into the fog-dimmed streetlights.
We sat there the four of us and variously expressed the same thing. What an amazing woman.
Peace be with your courageous heart Sinéad.
Tony left us today but he was still singing the other day at his piano and his last song was, “Because of You,” his first #1 hit.
Tony, because of you we have your songs in our heart forever. ❤
@Fan960Steinberg@Fan960Steinberg you’re the hardest working person in sports media. World over. Much respect from fan down under. Your work is of the highest quality, Calgary is remarkably lucky to have you (still owe you a phone in after my trip to YYC for last season’s playoffs btw)
