@MatthewStadlen@AlexandraResso1 I'm not sure that would help, I think we know quite a lot about Andy Burnham, he's been around forever, we know he can function as a political leader, apart from being hot and qualified to kill people what do we know about Al Carns
@hugorifkind I like your accent and haven't noticed too much yo-yo ing although I still chuckle when you tried to tell the Havering joke, to me you just sound polite Edinburgh. Not that strong, not like the Morningside residents who think sex were what the coal came in
@MatthewStadlen@suzyquiquero Who knows. You could criticise any of the potential replacements. I think capable of being popular is a pretty strong improvement on hated. Not that Starmer deserves that but seems to be engrained.
@justdavenow89 Not wanting to be pedantic but why not gods? I'm an atheist but Gods would really make more sense, the hoops monotheism has to jump through to explain horrific world events when fighting Gods is a much more 'logical' explanation
@RestIsPolitics Modest salaries? I am fond of Rory but he does seem to have an aristocratic view of wealth. If it was a Rolls and a villa in Tuscany sure question it but you know it's not just millionaires that buy nice cars and camper vans, whisper it sometimes they don't buy them outright
@DAaronovitch I can well believe she didn't question very expensive versions of pretty mundane things. I doubt she counted how many pens worth a grand he had or imagined the ugly salt and pepper cost 2500 but I think it's right to question why she had no curiosity about party finances
@GerryHassan I don't get the love of local MPs, I've lived in Scotland and England and occasionally had an MP who would try to help even if you didn't vote for them but would a Muslim in Clacton reach out to NF for help? It's a simple fix in Scotland equalize list and constituency MSP numbers
@doctoriaindarcy I was thinking more an aging rock star who won't be told that it's well past time to get off the stage but yeah undead /vampire is probably nearer the mark
@BenKentish This has made me angrier than it should. I was a fan of TB of sorts, voted Labour until the Iraq war then stopped until he crawled off. At least GW Bush had the decency to hide away painting. What happened to shame? Put Dorian Gray's painting back in the attic
@AndyBurnhamGM@mehdirhasan@InstituteGC I'm not sure it requires too much consideration. I quite liked Tony Blair until Iraq, the only statement I want following that is sorry and I wouldn't believe him. Thankfully he's not been in a position to start mad wars since but he's doing his best to get his snout in DTs
@MichaelLCrick Well if your hubby is on a hundred grand a year maybe you think he'd saved up or got it on finance or had some family money? I do find not discussing big purchases odd but they didn't live in a castle so if he can't afford a campervan and a nice car who can.
@lewis_goodall@janetm50723412 Haven't seen it either Lewis but I might watch, can't be dull as everyone is in a tizz about it. Btw, can you speak at the same volume approximately as your two newsagents colleagues. I am going a bit deaf but you seem to whisper when they bellow, can't find a vol level to suit
@lewis_goodall Isn't the problem more with the obsession with constituencies itself. If we had multiseat regions we could all get some representation and a mix of local and dropped in super talents.
@hugorifkind@DavidDPaxton I should have taken your warning. Do you think you could do a bit for him on How to Win An Election about how not being a pompous arsehole helps. I am surprised he didn't assert it's a Muslim badger
@GoodwinMJ I think your main problem is that you're just well enough known for voters to realise how unlikeable you are. Maybe you need your own party Reject?
