@TheRealMcKeever@catturd2 Why is she so picky?
Plenty of men live just fine on their own without a woman telling them what type of milk to buy.
He's not asking because he didn't know what he needs, he's asking because he can't devine what specific things she'll want.
@newstart_2024 Not disregarding this take, there is probably some truth to it.
But, I work with quite a few Gen Z and 75% of them don't want kids, ever. Sure some of them may change their mind later, but I think the problem is bigger than just late marriage.
@SwannMarcus89 It's because most people don't pay them off as they intend to and get caught back in debt.
In theory there's no down side, but in practice most people end up with high interest debt (which is probably why the cards offer them in the first place)
@MyLordBebo I know several families raiding 5 or more kids right now.
It's not impossible, you're just making excuses because you don't want to be inconvenienced. Don't want kids? Fine, but stop pretending it's an economic impossibility.
@cybrtrkguy The market doesn't support it.
It's that simple. Maybe in the future, but right now there aren't enough buyers that want an electric truck to support your arbitrary desires the sell more of them.
Make a product people want...
@StealthQE4 For past generations the home wasn't the goal in itself. It was always about a stable family life, which owning a home helps to achieve. Most Americans shared the same goal.
Younger generations to a much greater extent aren't planning to "build a family" so it's not as important
@BernieSanders Almost all the data suggests the former.
kids had less social isolation problems before social media. If no kids are allowed to use it they will interact with each other in more meaningful ways, like every generation before them did.
@SlumRNA_Dog That's not a "Boomersim" it's reality. And what they might have done with the money is both unknowable and irrelevant
It was taken and put into social security, they were forced to accept the opportunity cost so they should get the promised benefit.
@Lead_Flinger Notice all the "should" statements.
This guy wants to control every aspect of your life and is salivating over having the power to do so.
@romanhelmetguy Amazing how the left has been telling seniors my entire life that the Republicans were going to take away their social security and they would starve in the streets.
Now it's sorry grandpa you have too much money, get outta that house stop mooching off the taxpayer.
@boriquagato Both are terrible, opposite extremes.
1990 house is too busy, get rid of the wallpaper and stair carpeting.
2024 house is sterile and cold. Go buy some paint that isn't on the gray spectrum and add a few complimentary color features and a few green plants.
@Ravious101 I make a little less than that and can afford a house.
Obviously, there are some markets that I'm priced out of, but in most of the country I could find an affordable home that meets my needs.
