@FlynonymousWX @C130TheHerc One of our F models crashed in Antarctica in 1971. It remained buried in the ice for 17 years and the was recovered in 1988. It was completely restored and I flew it for the three Deep Freeze seasons I spent on the ice. #148321. XD-03. Lost another Herc during the recovery.

@FlynonymousWX @C130TheHerc I flew an LC-130F buno #148319 in Antarctica in the early 90’s that was delivered in 1960. IMO the Herc is the irreplaceable. We had three F models in VXE-6 at the time. Big motors with a GTC.
