Where is the Centre ground in British politics?
I'd say it's between the woke Liberals, and those denying poor children should get free school meals, (in fact all children should get a free nutritious mid day meal).

@catherinerowett Interesting to see a breakdown of renewables infrastructure based on company size.
I suspect it's geared towards large corporations, there are likely few <5 acre community solar projects, the bulk of infrastructure expenditure is likely to be in multi million £ windfarms.
@willydixon@YvetteHenson@Ed_Miliband Yes, all available roof spaces should be used, where practical and where it doesn't harm the intrinsic beauty of the area.
But putting solar in fields is cheaper.
@guffynicola@dugraha@TerribleMaps@DisgruntledPat1 Unpicking history, can lead us in many different directions. But before Japan had felt they were humiliated by the aftermath of WW1, and moved closer to the German orbit, they very much respected and wanted to be the British of the South Pacific.
@cyrilmitchell23@abholymoly It's Russisn involvement in the 2014 Scottish referendum, the possibility of Alex Salmond offering Putin Scottish bases.
And the fact, that English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish are a common people, who should not create borders.
@YvetteHenson@willydixon@Ed_Miliband This is not about putting solar panels on all fertile fields, this is tiny fraction of fields, and farming can co-exist with solar.
@dugraha@TerribleMaps@DisgruntledPat1 Singapore wouldn't have fallen, the Empire would have lasted longer, the Nationalists would have beaten the Communists in China.
And our weather would be very different.
Heartbreaking article about the impact of the cost of living crisis on disabled people and their families. No-one should be left in this position. https://t.co/JTAMwcAGmf
Only #women . “All the eggs a woman will ever carry form in her ovaries while she is a four-month-old fetus in the womb of her mother. Our cellular life as an egg begins in the womb of our grandmother.
Each of us spent 5 months in our grandmother’s womb, (1/2)
This goes directly against government policy & needs correction via guidance / regulation /law. Of course parents must have a right to scrutinise contentious materials taught by schools. @kitmalthouse
“Selling England By the Pound” (1973) — 'the erosion of traditional English culture by modern commercialism, consumerism, and materialism, & more broadly, the connections between mundane present & mythic past.' Quite prophetic 49 years later.
The exploitation continues unabated:
@GregHands Maybe an infographic showing what a typical male breadwinner could buy for his earnings in 1974, and how much they could save out of their wages.
Compared with a couple both working full time today.

@ClimateDad77@NeilSalter4 There's nothing wrong with driving, or owning a car.
The problem arises simply with the sheer numbers of cars on the roads, and the fact, infrastructure for the car, has dominated post war town planning.
As for protesting these protests are getting tedious.

@LancastrianJosh @IanBFAWU It's worrying that the federation of schools have taken this knee jerk reaction.
We are seeing the noose tighten on public discourse, we should be very worried for the future.
@Simonde_groot@AlStewartOBE@destinyangel5 Just listened to the interview, it's clear she was refering to the party, and likely Westminster Tory MP's, rather than its voters.
From her perspective, I think it's reasonable.
Just as I might say I despise the SNP, for trying to break up the UK, and its attack on the family.
