For years, Western governments used carbon emissions as a stick to lecture China.
Now China built the world’s largest EV industry, electrified transport, displaced oil demand and started cutting emissions.
Suddenly everyone seems to have forgotten that “reduce emissions” was the demand.
When China emitted more:
climate criminal.
When China builds the industrial system that actually cuts emissions:
but coal.
The problem was never just carbon.
The problem was that China was supposed to be guilty — not successful.
China: If you want aid, just say so. Spare me the “historical responsibility” and “climate justice” performance.
Nepal: The third batch of relief supplies arrived? DNA experts too? Bailey bridges? Satellite equipment?
Ah. Excellent.
Yesterday:
“China has a historical responsibility to compensate us.”
Today:
“We deeply appreciate China for standing side by side with Nepal.”
Climate justice arrived furious.
Then the aid notification pinged.
Turns out the climate didn’t change.
The payment notification did.
