@Temporary_Times@porterstansb Not the point I am trying to make. Responding to Porter’s criticism of the US having to pay more interest on the stable coins. I’m saying the benefit of USD for them is there even without interest, so the UST will be able to lower interest rates as well.
@TXMCtrades Then others around the world start buying bitcoin pushing the prices even higher allowing the USG to sell their bitcoin for a profit to pay down the debt. A boy can dream can’t he?
@TXMCtrades My thinking is like this… a much smaller number of dollars will have a huge impact on the price of bitcoin. Many of those dollars will come back in the way of capital gains taxes. This done without having as large of an impact on daily goods that regular Americans purchase.
@AlphaBetaSoup_@TXMCtrades I agree that you are correct that the government essentially must keep an inflationary system and this means more and more individuals will see the benefit to them of saving in bitcoin individually.
@AlphaBetaSoup_@TXMCtrades Good video. I say this, honestly not as a troll comment, but I do not see anything contradictory in this video with what Jeff Booth says. Everything you said explains the incentives for individuals and companies to “live on a bitcoin standard”.
@Geiger_Capital Regardless of how transformative the new technology is, humans will speed run it and over and mal invest and require a crash to wipe out the froth and set the stage for the lasting change.
