The Mayor has officially removed 5500 E. Yale from the list of micro-community sites. Thank you to everyone who contacted their representative, attended a town hall, researched, knocked doors, or chatted with a neighbor. @TubbsShow@DecayDenver
For a while now the political temperature in this country has been too high. When you spend years telling your side that the other team is an existential threat, you get days like today.
Praying for the United States and President Trump.
God bless America!
@dobetterdnvr Makes sense. Despite the Mayors office saying time and again that the plan was for every district to shoulder the burden, I have still not seen any sort of a plan for district 5. How curious.
Paraphrasing an exchange. A question was asked about “when do we get to vote on this?”
The mayor replied something to the effect of “you already did, I ran on this issue and got elected.”
Weeks after Denver leaders were informed of the internal confusion over how Denver was measuring success in its anti-homelessness initiative, no public clarification was offered and Mayor Mike Johnston's spokesman told inquiring 9NEWS journalists that they were mistaken.
@DecayDenver Community information meeting for the new site will be on Saturday December 16th at 10:30 am at:
Hamilton Middle School Cafeteria
8600 E Dartmouth Ave
Denver, CO 80231
I wonder if it’s an“Information meeting” rather than “town hall” on purpose? 🤔
@TubbsShow A thousand thanks for having me on, getting the word out on 710 made a huge difference! Your reporting over the years on #denverindecay has been eye opening. Congratulations for a top notch run on the radio, excited to see what comes next!
