Everything is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded everything else, so I could gain Christ.
@Acolyte83349490@RandalRauser It doesn't really matter what people agree on as truth, these will always be in dissaray. What is timeless and immutable is the word of God. He is the authority, always has been. What God said is not ambiguous, but quite clear to those born again by the spirit of God.
@MenWhoSawJesus@wmstell The problem being that a majority of people don't know that Jesus is Yahweh in the NT. This informs us of the lack of depth in current teaching at seminary.
@marlataviano @wmstell I agree. I accept that people chose their own lifestyle and how they will live, and this is their right. However, using biblical texts to try and justify same-sex relationships, cannot be accomplished. There is a long exegetical history of biblical condemnation for same-sex sin.
@DerekPodcast@YouTube Then how do you explain all of the personal statements by John that he saw Jesus with his eyes?
1 John 1:1:”We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands.”
@SpeedWatkins @FreedPodcast @doofgeek4011 The time between the cross and the return, Jesus has allowed this present world an opportunity to repent, believe and be saved. Never account a delay in judgment as approval of evil or sin. The Great White Throne is the final judgement. I comes at the end of this present world.
@SpeedWatkins @FreedPodcast @doofgeek4011 ...Second: Jesus defeated satan, sickness, suffering, evil and death, at the cross. God has done something about evil and suffering; Jesus died to end these plagues. When Jesus returns, this present fallen world will end and a perfect world with no sickness or death, will begin.
@nett_dot@lanzifer@MenWhoSawJesus One of the facts concerning atheists today is their innate lack of education as they seek to pose as experts in fields they have no knowledge of. I know you think you are a smart guy, but your comments reveal your ignorance.
@lanzifer@MenWhoSawJesus@nett_dot You have a fundamental failure in understanding correct prosecution of evidence and eyewitnesses. When a historical document exits which has eyewitnesses making statements of fact, it is the opposing party that must refute the claim.
Unbelievable! I read Josh Bowen's Atheist Handbook on the Old Testament. I have never seen such a contrivance in all my years as an O/T scholar. Out of context, misunderstood texts, and outright lies. Definitely not a "Handbook," in the historic sense. Writing a one-star review.
@IanNelsonMills You have a PhD, congratulations!
1. Do you believe in The Historical Jesus of the New Testament?
2. Are you a Christian, agnostic, or atheist?
I am trying to understand your premise in reading your conclusions.
The overturn of Abortion as a Constitutional right, is a sign to us who love the Lord, that He hears us, and He is not finished with this world yet.
Jesus' return is near, but until that time, there is much work to do. Pray without ceasing.
@AriaAsks The problem Amanda is that I know that people like you who have denied Jesus and choose to oppose Him, never listen to reason. It is a waste of time that can be spent on people who truly want to know Christ and find salvation. I made an attempt, to my own chagrin.
@AriaAsks Amanda, unfortunately it seems to be your goal to argue endlessly. It doesn't matter what I say to you, the answer is always to disagree and seek to argue with me. I have no interest in this. I am afraid our time is at an end. All the best to you.
@AriaAsks No, as I said. These were laws Moses gave the Israelites, because they would not do the harder law of no slavery. Sometimes it was easier for God to regulate slavery than convince men to cease it. These laws were only for the early Jews. Jesus never approved slavery.
@AriaAsks Understanding the hardness of the human heart, God has had to work with obstinate people and make concessions in ancient history. He designed laws for the fair treatment of slaves, and laws to provide for women who were divorced by their husbands. Do you understand this?
@AriaAsks God has never approved of Slavery. He destroyed the Egyptians because they enslaved the Hebrew People. Despite God's desire that His own people would not enslave, they did it anyway. Just as men divorced their wives when God said not to, men did what they want.
@AriaAsks It was Jesus show spoke to Moses in the Burning Bush of Exodus, calling Himself "I AM," the Eternal name for God. Jesus told the Pharisees that this was Him, and they wanted to kill Jesus because He claimed to be Yahweh. You must learn who Jesus is. He is our Great God.
@AriaAsks In Genesis 19:24, it was Jesus, the Lord (Yahweh), who brought fire down from heaven to destroy every man in Sodom and Gomorrah. The idea that He never said anything about same-sex sin, is preposterous. Jesus is the author of all the Bible; He is "The Logos."
