Quick correction, it’s been almost 2 months, not quite 3. And a couple more details:
- 3 weeks ago they messaged us “we issued a refund” and closed the case. But no refund.
- wks ago they “escalated” our case, which doesn’t actually allow us to talk to anyone. Radio silence.
For the 2nd time @vrbo has straight up stolen thousands from me. They’re a scam, with no buyer protection
We’ve been trying to cancel a trip for almost 3 months and customer services keeps saying “the refund has been processed” but it hasn’t and the trip isn’t canceled either
FYI @ConsumerReports@BBBTriCounties - @vrbo provides zero protection to consumers, please look at my recent tweets. This is now the second time they’ve stolen our money. And not a little, the first time I believe it was more than $2000 (this was a few years ago), this time $5k+
They also say “contact the owner” but the owner says “I try to cancel it and get an error.” We’ve paid in over $5000 including an absurd $3000 security deposit and it feels like they have no intention of ever refunding us.

The first time, a seller pulled a scam on us. Tried to get us to pay via Cash app and when we didn’t they canceled our $2k booking and never refunded our money. @vrbo refused to assist. We tried to reverse the charges on our credit card, but VRBO convinced them not to refund us!
@Mixbook I hate going to twitter to complain, but sometimes companies like @mixbook just ignore you unless you "make a bunch of noise." I will absolutely be looking for a better option next year. I don't like being treated this way.
Just had the most frustrating experience with @Mixbook. Their books are great but customer service is abysmal. They sent us someone else's books (again) and when I contacted they they said they'd send replacements, but they didn't. I had to contact them again! Almost 1 month late
@Mixbook Then the customer service agent is like, "we're going to make this right by rushing your order to you by January 19. Rushing? And that makes it right? Outrageous. These books were gifts and they're almost a month late. I barely even got a "sorry." This does not "make it right."

Off the cuff, any thoughts on the recent Ghostbusters, Godzilla, Willy Wonka, and Godfather cabinets? I really enjoyed Godzilla and Ghostbusters. Willy Wonka was super hard. I thought the Godfather wasn’t good.

@ArmyTenMilerATM I just called the office, they told me that they made a mistake with the date. You might want to let everyone know that they actually have until 18 October 2020, 11:59 PM or 19 October 2020, 12AM. Not sure what the actual cut-off would be.
