MBA was life changing for me and my family. Take pride in academics, chase your dreams on the field/wrestling mat, and strive mightily to be a good man. I love our football coaches, the lessons they teach the boys, and their support for the MBA wrestling program. Roll Red!!
In her latest sciolistic letter to me, @SenWarren made it clear that she knows even less about foreign exchange markets than she does about banking.
What is equally shocking, but not surprising: not a single member of the media mob has a rudimentary-enough level of financial market literacy to spot her remedial error.
To reiterate: under @POTUS, the United States delivers for America’s trusted partners.
For a fuller explanation, I recommend Senator Warren take any entry level course in international finance for her and her staff, or I can personally give her a tutorial on Foreign Exchange for Dummies. Although I am not holding my breath, I hope her next letter will demonstrate that she has learned the difference between a currency purchase and a swap or a loan.
NCAA Tournament Thoughts:
-I can't imagine a single more impressive sporting event. It's a one of one. Truly the crown jewel of sports in so many ways. If there was ever a throwback to old school gladiators, this is it. Nothing is as long, grueling, electric and rewarding like the NCAA Championships.
-Wrestling level improves every year. Incredible how close the 20 seed is to the 2 seed. Freshman are now more valuable than upperclassmen. Just wild how the sport evolves.
-The video review pendulum has swung completely out of control. Needs a serious reeling in. Fewer challenges, no refs look at it themselves, etc. It's really killing the flow of matches. Wrestling is an intermediate sprint sport. Pace is such an important part of the excitement.
-The rivalry is ON! Penn State is amazing and what they have done is otherworldly. But man, you just feel like for the first time in a while, wrestling from a team perspective could get really fun again. Just the animosity alone from the two fanbases is great for the sport. So while Penn State fans can bask in the glory of another title, 6 finalists, and a team point record, this feels like a turning point. Remember, big ships don't turn on a dime. They start with one small movement in different direction. I hope we can get some other teams into the mix as well. It's good for college wrestling.
-There are some really great programs that will never compete resource wise with the top teams, but they deserve a lot of credit. Stanford actually, not Penn State, was the #1 outperforming team. Wyoming, Columbia, Princeton, American, etc. Well done.
-I hope we're out of the COVID era completely now. Hoping to get back to 4th and 5th year kids wrestling in college. Turnover is good for the sport.
-We are tapped out on growth from the Individual Championships. It can't get much bigger or better than it already is. I hope duals continue to grow and someday, we get a dual championship. Companies are always looking for growth opportunities. Sports should as well. Duals are ours. We have to continue to grow and promote duals.
🎖️One of our own is getting the Medal of Honor. MAJ Nicholas Dockery, West Point Class of 2011, was just approved by Congress for the nation’s highest combat valor award.
The short version: Oct. 2, 2012, Afghanistan. Ambushed by Taliban. Nick moves through open ground repeatedly to rally his troops, uses his body to shield a soldier from a grenade, then goes searching for a missing man, finds him being dragged away unconscious by two enemy fighters, charges them, kills them both, performs CPR, then climbs onto an open rooftop to signal gunships and get his guys out alive. Two Silver Stars. White House Fellow. MacArthur Leadership Award. AND Nininger Award in 2017.
Go read the full story. Congratulations, Nick. The Long Gray Line is proud. 🫡 Beat Navy.
Last night, the Nashville Metro Council voted to oppose the Music City Loop, a private project that would improve infrastructure in Tennessee at no cost to taxpayers.
Woke bureaucrats should not condemn the @boringcompany simply because they don't like @elonmusk.
Imagine you’re 18, you sign up for your country’s military, you find yourself in a war against the US Army, and then this dude is waiting for you on the battlefield?
Lol good luck
The United States Senate is not a retirement community.
After 24 years in Washington, and nearly half a century in politics, John Cornyn represents the past, career politics, comfort, and complacency.
I believe in term limits.
I’m asking Texans to send me to the Senate for two terms, twelve years, to serve with urgency, fight for results, and then come home to raise my family.
I’m a husband and a father of three young children. I was born and raised in Texas. I’m a combat veteran, a West Point graduate, and a former Apache helicopter pilot.
I’ve led under fire, not behind a desk.
Texas doesn’t need another career politician.
It needs a NEW generation of leadership.
The time is NOW.
