Promotion / Relegation soccer is finally coming to America

Starting January of next year, the USL will start its first season with a pyramid structure between its 3 leagues, USL Premier (Division One), USL Championship (Division Two), and USL League One (Division Three), allowing the best performing teams to move their way up in place of teams that finish at the bottom of the league above them

Exciting, no doubt about it. A lot of risk being taken here by those involved, but it should be interesting at the very least to see how the stakes at hand impact the product on the field and the excitement level of each match

We are back in our favorite place in America. Fairhope, Alabama 🇺🇸

Last time we only had one evening here. This time we’re staying a few days to relax and enjoy some sunsets over the Gulf.

Ryan Grubb acknowledges that Alabama considered looking at the transfer portal at certain positions this offseason but they "bet" on players like EJ Crowell, Jackson Lloyd, Kaleb Edwards and Lotzeir Brooks -- and that's working out. He said it shows how Alabama can develop high school recruits and not rely on quick fixes out of the portal.
