@winebroad That's how you do it! When I still did Wine Riot we hosted a booze filled, rowdy brunch for our staff on the Sunday after. Everyone had to tell their favorite story from the weekend. If they didn't have one they had to pick up the tab for 35 people! Everyone always had a story!

@megmaker @SVB_Financial @SVBWine "Media spend" is not "marketing spend." 10 wine companies own 85% of the US wine market and none of them have seen much success with media spends. Instead they spend heavily on sales and distribution channels. A majority of that beer spend is on sports for key large brands.

@hundredgrapes @artisanswiss @wineecon Italian Swiss Colony was popular in the 1950s in Sonoma. They arguably invented the idea of the wine tasting room pulling tourists north from SF with wine themed parties and festivals. It's a really fascinating part of CA wine history.

@nickgray It's a two way street. Put yourself in a physical position where it is easy to interrupt. Look around. Stand facing the group. If someone comes near you shoot a glance and make eye contact. Be aware of your surroundings in general.
