I think it could be done. Use the phenomenal gameplay of the remake to construct a new campaign and multiplayer as an interstitial to your next fully fledged Halo mainline title.

Those bonus missions? Remove your thoughts about the story and/or writing. They’re the template for what could be a new 10 mission spin off Halo game.

These mechanics, this engine, this gameplay…use it for a multiplayer mode. Craft new maps or remake old ones. There’s no reason why every Halo release going forward needs to be $500 million dollars and 5+ years in development.
