@drboycewatkins1 Donald J. Trump is a fully demonstrated white supremacist. That 'neither party' bullshit should not be applicable when speaking on his positions or overall agenda.
@metroadlib As I said to my Black Neocon work partner while watching it during our 11 o'clock news break (as he clapped with glee), it's literally the realest statement he's made since and possibly before February 28. I wasn't even mad. Actually appreciated the oblivious candor.
@JoeySchmittPhD@EqualAccessNy2@Gothamist We do have OPTO trains here in NYC, but only for shuttle trains during overnight off-hours or weekends on certain lines, on a select few lines, and the length of those trains are sheared in half for the reasons I've tried to explain to you, because there is no conductor.
@JoeySchmittPhD@EqualAccessNy2@Gothamist Taking that into account, where are the savings? This concept seems to prioritize saving money over public safety and providing faster more efficient service.
@JoeySchmittPhD@EqualAccessNy2@Gothamist I'm not saying that it's not 'doable' - anything is possible - my question is more, it is practical if we're talking from the perspective of mere cost cutting. Because millions of dollars would need to poured into all of the other capital improvements we have going on.
@JoeySchmittPhD@EqualAccessNy2@Gothamist Not here to argue with you Joey you asked a fair question I attempted to give a fair answer. At the end of the day I value safety over money cause as a public servant that's my job.
@JoeySchmittPhD@EqualAccessNy2@Gothamist 5/5 to the monitor at my position I would have closed down and she would've been dragged by the neck. I was able to release her before she even knew what could've happened to her. might have been able to catch her from my viewpoint. Monitors are unreliable all don't always work.
@JoeySchmittPhD@EqualAccessNy2@Gothamist (4/4, Joey) achieved full indication that the doors were closed and we pulled out. We'd drag a customer. This actually happened to me one night, a woman exited my train wearing a silky dress with a flowing with a flowing lacey choker around the neck. Had I not been paying attn
@JoeySchmittPhD@EqualAccessNy2@Gothamist Sorry Joey gonna need a 3/3. Customers do this bc we've been raised on elevators. They do not realize that NYCT doors don't have electronic sensors. Let's say a thin piece of fabric you were wearing got caught between those doors as you were leaving the train and the operator
@JoeySchmittPhD@EqualAccessNy2@Gothamist Okay Joey so (2/2) here in NYC a customer running for train closing down knows (or assumes) they can stop a train by running up and sticking a foot or arm in there. Usually that works; if a door panel doesn't achieve full close the conductor doesn't get full indication.
@JoeySchmittPhD@EqualAccessNy2@Gothamist For 1 thing, an effective camera/monitor system that would allow a train op running a 600 ft train the ability to safely close down all door panels without catching someone & dragging them to their death. Most of these trains are very old. Gonna another tweet to finish so, 1/2
@SeeRacists This is a risky tweet but..
That's white privilege for you..
She's not really attractive at all but most people make up for their facial deficiencies with a decent demeanor. Hunter College matriculates a lotta non-white students. I'm trying to figure out what tf "the back" is."
@elonmusk Thanks for your input, socially awkward self-diagnosed autistic "Chainsaaaw" guy who killed USAID and alienated us from the rest of the world and sent career govt federal employees emails with longer exp on the job than your lifespan asking why they deserved to keep their jobs.
@elonmusk The Silence of the Lambs is a fictional novel written by Thomas Harris who still has an open acct here, @TheThomasHarris. You could have DM'd him for validation; you literally own this app. He probably wouldn't have answered though. Just saying though ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
