@macbrennan_cc Kyle can debate Ethzilla or Etherealize guys. Everyone would support that. Tom Lee is a tradfi guy, so you guys are specifically looking for unfair and sly/deceitful debate.
@cryptunez If you do a l2, you'll get all the support of the eth community, would not pay huge amounts to validators, and have all treasury to do community incentives and experimentations, as well as built cool apps that users like.
yeah I mean there's a million things wrong/questionable with your statement. . .
a sequencer just is a validator, a validator is the thing you are saying should be regulated like a broker-dealer...you're arguing that when one computer engages in this activity, it's broker/dealer activity, but when a thousand do, that's not broker/dealer activity...that's simply not how securities laws work. . .
I do agree that some L2s are essentially custodial / fully controlled by sequencer but if there ends up being a meaningful legal distinction based on stage 0 vs. stage 2 or whatever, you're gonna find they all become stage 2 real fast. . ."L2" is a very imprecise term that you are trading on here to maximize your attack area. . .
