@philemon3127 I was not aware this was only a conversation about England, but if so, I would point out islam is rapidly growing in England (7%), as well as atheism (37%). Both are growing, while Christianity is shrinking. It won't be long before Christianity is replaced in England.
@philemon3127 There is no doubt that the Abrahamic faiths as a whole are dominant, but even if we limit that to "christian" that encompasses ~50k different sects, most of whom insist they are the one true faith. Are the Mormons correct? The Lutherans? The Catholics? Westburo?
@philemon3127 This is a productive conversation though. We have established that there are a significant number of pagans following major religions in the world today. I would also add that most estimates place the number of traditional regional pagans wouldwide at 400 million
@RedLobsterist@angelaramblings@Risen_SzN Same here. Moses is very well documented. The old testament isn't simply a religious text, but it's also a genealogy of kings and leaders of the Hebrew people. I don't have to be Christian to see it's validity.
@philemon3127 Buddhists are not tied to a specific group either, and they are very diverse in their beliefs, but many sects are openly polytheistic, for example many believe in The Celestial Devas, and some sects declare the divinity of the Buddas.
@LeopoldG0tze@trad_west_ It is admirable of you to keep your faith despite issues. I left the church over the issues of the ignorant going to hell, as well as the concept of "original sin." I can not accept a baby being guilty and going to hell before it can even vocalize belief.
@LeopoldG0tze@trad_west_ Jesus answered, โI am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
There is no "good boy" clause. Jesus or hell.
@LeopoldG0tze@trad_west_ The Bible teaches that everyone has sinned and falls short of God's perfect standard.Scripture says: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
Holding this to be true, then none can be "good enough" for all fail.
