@GTheHookman@roosterbra812 If Zubac goes down, you feel comfortable with Jay Huff as your starting Center? I do not. He’s a 3rd string guy on most teams.
@CjMuir81739@johndrichardson Over Nesmith? Zero chance. Biggest need was a scorer off the bench. He slides into the Mathurin role. You’ve replaced Turner and Benn with Zu and Oubre. Bang. Biggest need now is an upgrade at the backup 5.
@Cory75852275498@PacersHive Correct, but if you get Murphy that guy can be Nesmith. Super 6th man. I like Murphy a lot but would also be happy with a multitude of other wings.
@G_Mac35@indystar I don’t have a rebuttal. The argument is silly to me. The aprons are very restrictive. They were just in game 7 of the finals. Are you wanting them to go out and trade for Jokic? Like idk what point you’re even trying to make.
@silver26256@TonyREast He clearly fits what the Pacers need more than Kam imo and they essentially paid nothing to do it. I was never a Kam Jones guy tho. Not really a Purdue guy either but Smith has a clear elite passing skillset that may lead to an eventual backup role. Never saw that w Kam.
@johndrichardson Cash isn’t salary cap. That has zero effect on the trade. Neither do the 2nd round swaps really. Kam showed no real promise. He’s meh at everything. Can’t go right. Smith has an elite passing skillset and has a chance to be an eventual backup PG. Clear upgrade from Jones imo.
@NbaWoody Listen I love TJ as much as the next guy but let’s be real. He’s 34 and will be going into an expiring team option after this next season. How much longer can we just say he’s some untouchable asset when a guy like Murphy is on the table?
@MarkMontieth@AlexGoldenNBA@Pacers If they’re not in the tax, it’s a disappointment imo. They need to go for it with this core. They’re already over the tax. If they duck out and move jarace for some cheaper bench piece that’s a slap in the face to fans and not enough of a needle mover imo. Backup C & bench scorer
@Hokitland@the2kmessiah He let like 2 different 20-2 runs keep going without calling timeout and watched his offense have no clue what they were doing the entire 2nd half. Fox also had the worst 2nd half I’ve ever seen and gift wrapped them the game a handful of times.
