I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins, and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead

It's so strange to me seeing people put Eze in lineups as the attacking midfielder.

Even if I didn't rate Ode and thought he was cooked from injuries or something, I'd be begging for a new AM then.

Eze's ability to cleanly strike the ball whatever height or pace its at is mad impressive, and that makes him a valuable player to have in the squad. But he isn't a chance creator.

Odegaard created 39 chances in the EPL in 1300 minutes compared to Eze's 14 in 1900 minutes. That and Ode's 6 assists to Eze's 2.

If Ode is really washed or not good enough or whatever than we should find someone else not rely on Eze at AM. It would be just as important as finding a new LW.

A weird quirk of certain sects of American evangelicalism is the hyper-fixation on the next life, as if this life is basically unimportant.

I think it shows up in the heavy focus on converts, to the exclusion of proper catechesis. Once saved, always saved means we just have to tell as many people about Jesus as possible and lower the barrier to entry for the faith to a single prayer and they're secure forever. God's going to take the Church away in the rapture any minute now so all that other stuff doesn't matter, just conversions.

There is basically no Theology of establishing Christ's kingdom on Earth as it exists in Heaven. All of the things that relate to this life are discounted as less important or completely ignored: the institutional Church, the sacraments, growth in Christ-likeness, etc.

Also, pitching people solely on eternity is never a good strategy because, even if they're wrong, they always think they'll have a peaceful death bed where they can get right with God. Christ says your life will be 100 times richer now, in this present age.

So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time"

We have more than enough room to close many of our prisons and explore just alternatives to incarceration.
