The Motion Picture, Television, and Entertainment Revitalization Act would deliver a true gamechanger for American creators, workers, and businesses – a federal incentive that supercharges production at home, fuels jobs and growth in local communities, and makes the United States a more competitive destination for the next generation of great film and television.

A federal incentive would be a landmark step toward strengthening our nation’s economy and bringing more production to local communities in all 50 states.
We applaud President Trump’s support for this vital action, and look forward to continuing to work with the White House and bipartisan leaders in Congress to enact a meaningful and effective national incentive into law.

American parents trust MPA film ratings.🎬
A new survey from our Classification and Rating Administration reveals how parents today view the film rating system: as an accurate and familiar tool that helps them make better movie choices.

"PG-13" is for the big screen, not social media.
We are pleased that Meta has agreed to the MPA’s terms on any “PG-13” references for Instagram Teen Accounts.
Our agreement helps ensure parents do not conflate movies and social media, and that MPA film ratings – with over 90% approval from American parents – continues to protect the trust we have built over nearly sixty years.

.@NBCSports is delivering gold medal-worthy Winter Olympics coverage through its Connecticut HQ – not to mention basketball, baseball, football, soccer season and more year-round.
Since kicking off its Stamford, CT command center in 2013, NBCU has invested more than $1.6 billion across the state, and it now employs a workforce of nearly 2,000, and supports hundreds of local vendors. All scoring a big victory for the Constitution State.

Next stop on our #America250 tour of film and TV production across the country: California.
Diving deep this week into the economic benefits of HBO’s "The Pitt" – the award-winning medical drama filmed in the Golden State.
Season 2 is now on the air, and the California Film Commission reports that this production injected more than $65 million into the local economy as part of the state’s Tax Credit Program, employed 1,000 full-time cast and crew, and brought over 13,000 background performers onto the set. All of them drawn from California’s creative workforce.

We’re marking America’s 250th birthday with film and TV production highlights from sea to shining sea.
First stop: Georgia – home to a strong film tax credit and to the casts and crews bringing some of your favorite movies and shows to life.
Every dollar invested in Peach State production incentives returns $6.30 in economic growth. That means more jobs for local workers and growth for local businesses. And there’s no better example of that impact than the record-breaking hit series, @Stranger_Things
Stay tuned every week this year as we highlight film and TV production across America #America250
Here’s our warning to Meta: stop citing PG-13 ratings for Instagram. Conflating social media content and movies is thoroughly misleading.
