Here's a fun little graph- number of signatures per hour for the duration of our petition. Note the huge bump that happens roughly 1-2 hours after @uOttawa released their statement about Respondus. Students overwhelmingly don't seem to want this.

@lynnwebber18 Professors have the decision capacity to use it now, but that is an improvement as before faculties were the ones who selected. I’ve heard of a few professors but the numbers are a lot smaller. Anecdotal but I still consider that a win

I don't know what the solution is, I don't even know how to get the people in charge to listen. All I know is that my case is one of many and all of us are drowning. Demanding this much from your students is how you guarantee that they will burn out.

Stress + mental health has been a massive crisis for students in the last few years. We've been watching suicide rates go up. Now, not only are we all isolated, we are also expected to go to the same amount of class time AND do more assignments/tests.
