Dr’s deserve a wage that reflects their education & time.
Nurses. CNAs. Meds. Housekeeping. Meals. 24 hr care.
Salary alone for everyone that took care of her is probably 10-15k of that if minimum wage is $12-15/hr🤷🏻‍♀️

@aionVlad @luv1bun Nope. At 6-7am (🤷🏻‍♀️) it wasn’t hot. But needed to even out the temp so the windshield didnt fog up. That took 5-10 minutes, maybe.
If it WAS hot, we were used to playing outside in the July heat. For HOURS. We were unbothered.

@SirHiss14 @hongkongfuey @jeremyct Have you considered that the property insurance went up? Or the taxes? Or one of the homes had to have an entire AC redone that cost 20K? It’s not a wild thought that increases are necessary. Damages/repairs are also part of the cost & the extra $ may go into a savings account

Old people who have already worked their asses off who need help and can maybe live with you. Not lazy SIL’s that should be taking care of their own parents

Potential court cost of evictions.
Vacancies
Yard work - tree removal or storm clean up.
Utility costs during vacancies.
Hoa fees during vacancies

@PaulSpetrini @jeremyct Those taxes should at least be portioned based on people’s use. Same with health care, health insurance, and auto insurance. If you have paid property tax for 30 years for one place, maybe prorate it after those 30yrs. 10k a year is 25% of my income. No one person should pay that

@jeremyct Mine never took vacations to anywhere expensive. Maybe the lake house for a week. A place already bought/paid for as a family. No ticket prices. No flights. Food was brought with them. And both had jobs for a portion of time during the year.

@jeremyct She could at least ask for the HOA to lessen or wave the fee since she is fixed income. The taxes and insurance are insane, but that is purely due to inflation and living in a higher claim area. Her social security will never keep up with that.
