The second part - is prevention. How can we prevent violence from occurring, and create a safer environment for all Utahns to thrive in.

As part of this goal, I am proud to share with you that I am working with @UCASAorg and @RepAngelaRomero on a bipartisan initiative called “Prevention Now” to ensure prevention services are effectively funded throughout the state.

Since being elected to the State House, I have made standing up for victims & survivors a key priority. As I see it - there are two important pieces to the puzzle of quality victim’s services. The first is how we respond when someone is violated. Dignity, trust, and trauma-informed care are essential. In the next couple of weeks I will share with you more about my legislation pertaining to piece #1.
