There should be a blanket ban on this nuisance. What has loud music got to do with devotion. The gentleman in the video has rightfully confronted this so called 'BolBom' devotees.
#VIRAL: A video featuring public figure Sukumar Barman confronting a group of #BolBom pilgrims over loud DJ music has gone viral on social media. Barman questioned the use of high-volume #DJ tracks during the pilgrimage, stressing the need to maintain a devotional atmosphere.
The video has sparked an online debate over loud music, public disturbance and responsible conduct during religious pilgrimages, with users divided over the use of DJs during Bol Bom journeys.
3 days of warning. Does A 16-year-old forecasting system even exists beyond paper? ₹18,000 crore in the budget.
Yet families across Upper Assam woke up to neck-deep water inside their homes.
The government cannot hide behind excuses. The warnings came in advance, the budget was allocated but the people were left to fend for themselves. Where did the accountability go? The people deserve answers.

Economy ki g***d m***ke Modi aa gaya public se wasooli karne. Nothing good in India is preserved for long. There is a reason why we are clubbed with Pakistan by the western world.
Pay taxes like developed world, but expect services of Sub-Saharan standard.
I am not sure what the fuck is going on with @narendramodi govt? Yesterday a RS MP firm was caught with 84 patches of bad road within 24 days of inauguration. That too when there was a CBI inquiry going on. Gadkari’s ethanol conflict is well established.
Coempt Eductech, Silver Touch and Dharmendra Pradhan have a lot to answer on CBSE OSM fiasco. And now this! The worst part is: no one even talks about it. Have we elected @BJP4India for this business?
This tweet is beyond 'bootlicking'.
Journos should rather question the CM on his very colleague, holding the portfolios of Disaster Management & Climate Change and their absolute failure in finding the cause of this absolute disaster.
In all my years of journalism, I have never witnessed a flood relief package of this scale announced in a single night. Chief Minister @himantabiswa has unveiled a series of major measures for flood-affected people, setting a new benchmark in disaster relief and rehabilitation in Assam. Time will judge the implementation, but tonight’s announcements are truly unprecedented. #AssamFloods
🚨”FLOOD RELIEF OR BJP PUBLICITY?” | Nilotpal Bora criticises the Govt for putting posters;
Singer Nilotpal Bora has strongly criticised the Assam government over its flood relief efforts, accusing it of “prioritising publicity over genuine help”.
“Even when you provided assistance, what people saw more across Guwahati were posters promoting yourselves. Everywhere you offered relief, there were BJP stickers. Is this really helping the people sincerely, or is it just publicity?” he asked.
Bora pointed out that the money spent on posters “could have helped save or support around twenty families.”
He added that the workers pasting those posters “could instead have been deployed to help flood-affected citizens.”
Further, he also questioned the government’s own rule against pasting posters on public walls. “Now, who will pay the fine for all these posters? Will you pay it yourselves?”
“Even Amit Shah and others have remained completely absent… But when elections come, they will visit twice a week without fail”, slammed the absence of central leaders.
Bora concluded with a clear message: “You do twenty rupees’ worth of work but make eighty rupees’ worth of claims… Work sincerely. If you do good work, the people themselves will promote and appreciate you… So, be careful.”
Many homes were swept away by the floodwaters, but the boat of humanity is still afloat… One of the special passengers of that boat is social worker and messenger of humanity, Hussain Mansuri. Assam will always remember your selfless service.

https://t.co/8Cc6sbP3z7 is a community-built, community-run flood platform developed by Partha Borthakur (COO, NEATEHUB). Crowd-sourced data may be incomplete, but it filled a gap when ASDMA failed. Kudos!
Basically to protect a few cronies especially this illegal business, BJP led govt in Assam ignored all the previous warnings by experts and this very ignorance now resulted to a catastrophe.
Wait for the CM to come up with a PC mocking these facts with some sensless rebuttal
Satellite images expose a horrifying truth: The catastrophic Nazira #Floods are not a natural calamity, but a meticulously engineered man-made disaster driven by unchecked sand, stone, and coal mafias! 🚨
If you compare the satellite imagery of the region from 2010 to 2024, the reality is stark and undeniable. The once lush green banks and natural courses of the Dikhow River have been mercilessly excavated and transformed into cratered wastelands. This rampant, unchecked plundering of our natural resources is the direct root cause of the current devastation in Nazira, #Sivasagar #Charaideo #Jorhat etc. I have relentlessly warned this #BJPGovernment and fought against this impending doom for years, but they chose to protect the syndicates over our citizens.
I approached the Hon'ble Gauhati High Court and filed a PIL (PIL 62/2019) against the rampant #illegalmining on the Dikhow river banks. On October 21, 2019, the High Court expected the Government to form a "Mines & Minerals Task Force Battalion" within three months to stop this menace. Despite clear judicial directives, the #AssamGovernment shamelessly admitted on the floor of the Assembly on December 22, 2021, that the formation of this 200-member Task Force was still merely "under process." I raised this issue again in the March 2022 #Assembly session, demanding to know what concrete steps were taken to stop the illegal trade of forest and mineral resources as per the High Court's directives.
Following my persistent complaints, on January 12, 2022, the Assistant Executive Engineer (Water Resources, Nazira Sub-division) inspected the illegal mining sites near Bamunphukhuri Tea Estate and Santak. He gave a stark, written warning that continued #excavation would alter the river's course and bring massive devastation. The #BJP Government buried this report to protect the mafias. Most recently, on June 15, 2024, I wrote directly to the Environment & Forest Minister, explicitly warning about the imminent threat of the Dikhow River altering its course due to this unabated illegal mining and the existential devastation it would cause.
But all the stark warnings were deliberately ignored. The people of Nazira are now paying the ultimate price—losing their homes, their livelihoods, and their loved ones—because of this unholy nexus between the #Government and the mining mafias. #AssamFloods #Assam #Disaster

Assam's BJP govt spent roughly ₹452 crore on advertising, banners & hoardings in 5 years.
A govt that can spend hundreds of crores telling people how well it is performing should surely be able to fund relief without turning disaster relief into a public fundraising campaign.
