Still blows my mind that someone made a setting where Christianity is fighting the forces of Hell in brutal trench warfare, then threw a tantrum that it was attracting edgy Christians.
That's like making a game about sexualized, anthropomorphic animals and then getting mad that Furries show up in droves. Who the fuck did you think the audience would be?
This is the parking lot where I go to the sand dunes. There's around 400 trailers in rows parked 10 feet apart. Expensive equipment everywhere. Much of it gets left out, unlocked and unattended, for hours.
Nobody goes in anyone else's trailer. Not uninvited, that's for sure. And if you were told to leave, for whatever reason, you would immediately.
This is common fucking sense to people who have any understanding of private property, honesty, shared spaces, and general social etiquette.
I have definitely seen heated arguments happen, usually after something serious, like....a dude crashing into someone else at high speed. You know, life and death stuff.
I've never even seen a fistfight here let alone a stabbing. It would be literally unthinkable.
If you don't understand these concepts, please stay the fuck away from me.
John McCain caused a near mid-air collision in training that ended up breaking the back of a pilot, ending his career.
He also started a deck fire that killed several people.
After being captured, all accounts of fellow prisoners say he was a turncoat POS.
John McCain is not taught about in SERE school. Many heroes are, for their conduct in captivity.
John McCain is not a hero. He was a piece of shit, until the end.
His last act was betraying his country and peddling the fake Steele Dossier to try and take down President Trump.
Fuck John McCain.
The sexual revolution ended culturally enforced monogamy. It took time for inertia to leave the system, but eventually, mating devolved into a laissez faire market full of predatory actors.
MeToo was the female class protesting the abuse by the male class. Now we're seeing the building backlash in a mirror. Both sexes are collectively viewing the other as a hostile party in a negotiation.
Someday, society will realize that enforced monogamy was the solution to both sexes' greatest complaints, and it was a Chesterton's Fence that we should not have removed.
Last night, I read the entirety of C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters. It's a novel told in the form of letters written by a demon to another demon instructing him on ways to manipulate his "patient" to do evil.
This one quote sounded familiar.
@AsteriWilde If your husband brings it up, take him seriously. If he's part of the problem tell him. I guarantee fixing it is more important to him than being saved from brutal truths.
@kojimaicmatters The default level of aversion to acknowledging error or fault in a woman is extremely apparent and shocking when we encounter the same level in a man, and once it is discovered we move to disassociate ourselves with that man as much as possible.
