Being upset that you won't get to experience romantic connection with a woman because a growing number of women have been convinced to be more and more hypercritical of men is not "misogyny". Women and men are increasingly living in two diverging realities that have fewer and fewer points of contact with one another. There's almost no point in me justifying these things to you, as you are likely just going to interpret them as unjustifiable and ill-considered because they don't have parity with your lived experience as a woman, which I also obviously cannot understand given that I live as a socially isolated man. That's the point. That's why many men opt out of even trying. There's legit no fuckin point in torturing yourself by trying to bridge the incompatible realities. It's over.

around 200 likes at most is to be expected for cod clips on twitter man, on my old account I was posting some of the more creative non-cod clips that have ever been hit, and my highest engagement was like 300 likes on a Gmod shot involving portals. Ya sorta gotta game the algorithm by doing something appealing to even people outside the comm if you want a hit now.

[UFFERNOEDD @UFFERNOEDD]

"Lynchian" as an adjective has ruined people's ability to engage with Lynch's work. I'm so glad internet irony didn't spoil my first impressions of his work.

@markgranza Yea it's Mulholland Drive or Inland Empire, spiritually speaking

@ankitiscracked @neervj Afaic he was pretty much the completion of the surrealist's project... The greatest American filmmaker of OAT. A latter-day prophet. A madman. The most idiosyncratically beautiful artist I had the pleasure of living at the same time as. Enjoy your foray into his work! :)

[UFFERNOEDD @UFFERNOEDD]

@spear_bunny He keeps doing the fuckin mouth I used to do to pretend to be Gman from Gmod Idiot Box when I was a kid

[UFFERNOEDD @UFFERNOEDD]

@CcyncL I agree completely. No one knows how to be creative anymore...

Brah the exact situation in your OG post provides a direct counter to that being the best way to go, in that you can end up wounding people more by having them catch on, by circumstance or them figuring it out on their own, that you don't like them and have fabricated a way to not let them know this. It's actually respectable and requires a bit of backbone to just frankly tell someone "hey, I'll be honest, I don't think I want to be friends with you. You're all good, I just don't personally feel I mesh with you well." or something similar.

I wish that more people had dispelled my uncertainty, worry, and desire to try to work out how to behave with them by just telling me how they felt outright, but a lot of people use the strat you're talking about. You're actually not preventing them from being hurt or saving yourself the hassle by continuing the ruse, generally, unless there are extenuating circumstances, like you suspect the person will blow up on you or become vindictive if you just let em know (what I'm advocating for assumes that someone is a fairly sane, reasonable person).

[UFFERNOEDD @UFFERNOEDD]

Normal people's ability to remain so blasé about fobbing people off just because they "don't vibe with them" with nary an ounce of self-reflection is fucking torturous to be aware of if you're someone who's been ostracized for most your life despite your best efforts to get along with people...

Told my roomate who I absolutely never want to hang out with that I had no Halloween plans right before my gorilla costume arrived in completely transparent packaging

[UFFERNOEDD @UFFERNOEDD]

fairs.. my post applies more generally than just your specific situation tho. Always gets me down that people are just lied to and never really know why others don't wanna hang out or if someone does or doesn't like em. Gotta be a bit more direct both for their sake and your own I reckon.
