Oscar de la Torre, a 2023-24 PSO Student Scholar, was recently named a Barry Goldwater Scholar. During his time as a PSO Scholar, Oscar interned with @BotGardenGA. This scholarship will help him to pursue graduate education and a career in plant research. Congratulations, Oscar!

The application deadline for the 2025 Bobbi Meeler Sahm Service and Outreach Award has been extended to Jan. 31.
Sahm, an Athens native and UGA alumna, and her family established the award and an endowment for it in 2021. (more)
