I’ve never used Fiverr.
I’ve never landed a deal on Vidsy.
And the only thing I’ve ever gotten through a platform was a gifting collab on Coehly ... three years after already being a full-time creator.
(It was for boxing equipment, so… an easy yes 🥊)
There are definitely partnerships on platforms I’d still love to do but honestly, it’s never been my biggest priority.
Most of my longest-term brand deals have always come from brand-to-creator contact, not brand-to-agency.
So please do not get discouraged if you are not landing deals through these platforms
You do not HAVE to!
You can still be successful...

The best creators aren’t just good at content.
They’re good at:
– Communication
– Follow-up
– Reliability
Skill gets you in the door. Professionalism keeps you in the room.

My first 2k+ month as a UGC creator and I’m so thankful. 🥹🤍
Brands keep coming back and my portfolio keeps growing!
Creators, how did you start replacing your full-time income?

One thing I’ve realized: cheering for other creators NEVER takes away from my own growth.
Commenting, retweeting, hyping them up? That energy always finds its way back.
Collaboration > competition. ALWAYS!
Most UGC creators stop at “pretty visuals.”
Great UGC blends:
1️⃣ A scroll-stopping hook
2️⃣ Social proof (real use/testimony)
3️⃣ Objection handling (“but does it work if…?”)
4️⃣ A clear CTA
If your video has all 4, you’ve built an ad that sells, not just entertains. #UGCtips #UGC
Nobody asked me but I'm going to tell you anyway.
Being a content creator isn't the flex you think it is if you're treating brands like your "besties" and doing work for free products.
I made $80K my first year. Not from being everyone's favorite creator. From treating this like the business it is.
You're not an influencer's little sister begging for brand attention. You're a content production company and you need to act like it.
Set your rates. Send invoices. Track your metrics. Build systems.
Stop accepting "exposure" as payment. Your landlord doesn't take exposure and neither should you.
Stop being grateful they picked you. Their ads are tanking and you're the solution.
People pay for value. And if you don't value yourself, neither will they.
The creators making real money aren't the ones with perfect feeds, they're the ones who understand this is B2B, not B2BFF.
Your content drives sales. Your creativity solves problems. Your authentic voice cuts through their corporate BS.
Price accordingly.
Nobody asked, but somebody needed to hear it.
Finally caught up on content after being sick + kids going back to school. Such a relief to have the editing queue at 0… for now 😉
