HON. UCHENNA HARRIS OKONKWO: THREE YEARS OF PURPOSEFUL REPRESENTATION, IMPACTFUL LEADERSHIP, AND SELFLESS SERVICE
By Comr. Kenechi Okoye
On June 13, 2023, the good people of Idemili North and South Federal Constituency witnessed the inauguration of a new chapter in their democratic journey as Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo took the oath of office as a Member of the House of Representatives.
Three years later, that mandate has been translated into visible impact, purposeful representation, and unwavering commitment to the welfare and progress of our people.
Over the past three years, Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo has distinguished himself as a vibrant voice for Idemili at the National Assembly. Through effective legislative engagement, he has sponsored over 16 bills, moved strategic motions, and consistently advocated for policies aimed at improving the lives of his constituents.
Beyond legislative activities, his tenure has been defined by tangible development projects spread across communities in Idemili North and South. These include the construction and renovation of schools, road infrastructure, provision of boreholes for access to clean water, establishment of cassava processing plants to boost local enterprise, empowerment programmes for farmers, youths, women, and artisans, as well as the attraction of ICT centres designed to equip our young people with relevant digital skills for the modern economy.
What makes these achievements even more remarkable is the fact that they were accomplished despite the realities and limitations of public funding, and despite serving as a first-term legislator without the advantages that often come with ranking membership. Through dedication, strategic partnerships, and an extensive network of contacts, Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo has consistently gone beyond expectations to deliver meaningful dividends of democracy to his constituents.
His journey in the House of Representatives has demonstrated that effective representation is not measured merely by years in office but by the impact made in the lives of the people.
As we reflect on these three years of service, we do so with gratitude for the progress achieved and optimism for the future. The experience gained, the relationships built, and the opportunities that come with ranking status position our constituency to attract even greater developmental projects and legislative benefits in the years ahead.
The journey is far from over. The vision remains clear: a more prosperous, united, and productive Idemili North and South where every community feels the touch of good governance and inclusive development.
Indeed, Umunnem, the future is bright, and the journey towards greater accomplishments continues.
Idemili is OK with Uchechukwu.

“Money buys privacy, silence. the less money you have, the noisier it is; the thinner your walls, the closer your neighbors. the first thing you notice when you step into the house or apartment of a rich person is how quiet it is.”

Sitting in the parlor in the villa around 1am thinking about what God has in store for me and my family in the future. I wholly wish us the Best of the Best.
It best we clamour for one nigeria then. History and past events has taught us there is always a change in power dynamics.
While the South west should prioritize leadership competence for national interest over tribal sentiment.
There is also need for Eastern region to hold a referendum to clearly decide its position regarding continued membership in Nigeria and supported by proper education on the legal steps and the agenda of groups championing secession. If by all appearances, it comes out a negative
