"Unveiling Shadows: Nigeria's Election Odyssey"
In Nigeria's realm, where time did cast its gaze,
Lies a tale of elections shrouded in haze.
In the year of 2023, a chapter so obscure,
Where shadows danced on a land insecure.
Interviewer: When you scored, you pulled up a new shirt with "Peter Obi" written on it. Why did you choose to celebrate this important moment that way?
Bradley Barcola: Of course, I have to celebrate it that way. My grandmother was from Africa, in Gwagwalada precisely. And I made a promise to her that I must support every good cause in Africa.
human welfare directly (median real wages, employment quality, the Gini coefficient, poverty rates, things like the Human Development Index) and watch those instead. They're harder to celebrate in a headline, which is part of why the rosier aggregates tend to get the microphone.
Talking about Nigeria's macroeconomic indicators versus Nigeria's reality today, my upshot is: when the dashboard and the lived experience disagree this sharply, the right move usually isn't to wait for them to reconcile. It's to ask which numbers track ...
As the World Cup Begins Without Nigeria
As the World Cup begins today across three nations, I identify with our teeming football followers and urge them not to be despondent that Nigeria is not participating, despite the abundant talent in our land.
Our failure to participate on the global stage is not due to a deficit of talent; it is a direct consequence of a deficit in leadership, planning, and institutional support.
The task of building a better Nigeria rests primarily on the shoulders of the younger generation. Do not watch the World Cup with despair; rather, see it as a reminder of where Nigeria ought to be. We must move our country from being a nation of mere consumers of global entertainment to a nation of proud producers and competitors.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Africaโs Borders Make No Sense โ Joshua Maponga
Between 1884 and 1885, Africa was divided along arbitrary, meaningless lines, whose sole purpose was to distribute its natural resources between its European invaders. Led by German colonial criminal Otto von Bismark, the Berlin Conference split the continent of Africa between the then major Western powers of Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Portugal. Each European nation got to plunder its โshareโ of Africa with impunity, and treat the rightful inhabitants of the land as it saw fit.
Imposed by these parasites and enforced by their local puppets, these arbitrary borders continue to divide Africa today, hampering trade and movement, fueling conflict, and keeping the worldโs wealthiest continent in perpetual poverty โ all the better for its historical plunderers.
In this travel video, Zimbabwean author, educator and Pan-Africanist Joshua Maponga exposes the absurdity of these borders, and speaks to the urgency with which they must be dissolved.
