Are we witnessing one of the biggest corruption scandals in history of SA? Or is it state capture only when it’s our people involved? You be the judge. But here’s the situation.
We have all seen the Capitec machines that are trending where you can also apply for a Home affairs smart ID. And to access this feature you must be a Capitec client. Which may be seen as using government resources to channel clients towards a particular company which may be seen as the government which was supposed to be a fair referee interfering in a free-trade environment to give an unfair advantage to one player over others. But it gets deeper than that.
Who is the minister of Home affairs? It is Leon Schreiber.
Which party does he belong to? The DA.
Who funds the DA? One of their funders is Michiel le Roux has donated over R110 million to the Democratic Alliance (DA) since 2021.
Okay, Who is Michiel le Roux? He is the cofounder of Capitec.
You connect the dots.
I have no opinion on this one. I will let you do the math. Do you now see what I mean when I say that the DA could be worse than the ANC? Not to mention the R4 Billion offshore scandal.
Minister Khumbuzo Ntshaveni is responsible for State Security as Minister in the Presidency, after the Ministry of State Security was abolished and State Security was moved to the President's Office.
It is simply mind blowing and overwhelmingly disturbing to hear the evidence we heard at the Commission today. You begin to wonder as a citizen how safe are we? Are we on autopilot, on our own? Was it even a good idea to move the ministry to the President's office? How come all these things were happening without being detected? Yho haayi it's exhausting. 😟

I just posted this in one group and I thought that it would interest you.
I take a dim view of the post hoc rationalisation that unbundling was the wrong instrument for the electricity supply industry. That debate is now closed. The Electricity Regulation Amendment Act (ERAA) was gazetted in December 2024, and its statutory transition to market-determined pricing takes effect in 2031. The question is no longer whether to unbundle; that is settled. What remains is the pace of unbundling—and that is a National Treasury issue.
The real debate over unbundling peaked between 2015 and 2018. The central problem was that there was no credible justification for unbundling a utility whose Energy Availability Factor (EAF) stood at 80% on a 12-month moving average (12MMA)—world-class by any standard, as confirmed by VGB PowerTech (2023).
It required individuals such as Phakamani Hadebe, Jabu Mabuza and Andre de Ruyter to drive the EAF down from 80% (12MMA in 2017) to 54% (12MMA in 2024), thereby creating the justification for gazetting the ERAA in December 2024.
As one government official—who is in this WhatsApp group—said at the time: “We can’t continue to put all our eggs in one basket to keep the lights on. We trusted Eskom, and it failed to keep the lights on.”
It is worth noting that no one has been arrested for state capture at Eskom. I limit my comments to Eskom because that is where I feel qualified to speak.
The only reason the unbundling debate has resurfaced is that EAF performance has improved under Nyati and Marokane’s leadership. But it is too late—and that timing was engineered. The ERAA cannot be reversed. It is now an Act of Parliament. It was presented as the “antithesis” of state capture at @Eskom_SA .
The only remaining debate is how to administer palliative care to Eskom. The pace of reform is now the only controllable variable—and National Treasury holds the levers.
Ground Beef Is Not Beef Mince
Braaiwors Is Not Boerewors
Did you know that in South Africa these terms have a clear legal difference? Next time you spot a special, pay close attention to the wording on the pack.
Beef mince is 100% minced meat with no additives or fillers allowed.
Ground beef, on the other hand, is typically mixed with soya or other fillers.
Boerewors must contain a minimum of 90% meat and a maximum of 30% fat to legally use that name.
Braaiwors (or braai wors) needs only 40% meat content.
The name on the label matters more than you might think.

Both the Chair and CEO are against the transfer of Eskom’s transmission assets out of Eskom but #CR17BankStatements white private sectors friends make the final call.
Most men are naturally polyamorous and polygamous. They just want to have multiple relationships, whether in marriage or otherwise.
Unfortunately, European men created a society where this nature became shameful, by building a system where monogamy is “civilised” and polygamy is “barbaric”.
So now, for centuries, every single one of them, with a straight face just stands there and pretends they’re happy with one woman because of fear of being judged by people who want and are doing the opposite.
Timur Kuran called this behaviour “preference falsification”, which is basically when people misrepresent their true wants in public because of social pressure and fear of disapproval.
Centuries ago, very powerful European men created a closet and now they’re all stuck inside like gay men in the 1950s, trapped in a performance, threatening to out and expose each other, and every single one of them is terrified of the shame, the gossip and the ruined careers.
Honestly, how many men publicly champion monogamy while privately seeking affairs, consuming porn and fantasising about other women? The gap between stated preference and revealed behaviour is so massive that it’s embarrassing to continue to pretend it’s not happening. But, here we are.
In any case, because of the stigma they created, European men and the victims of their colonisation around the world have to continue pretending monogamy is natural, when in reality, the Europeans made it the default to formalise marriage as a property-and-inheritance contract.
It was Western men who forcibly imposed monogamous marriage as a standard of “civilisation”, which left the impression that it was some kind of biological truth, when many cultures, Europeans themselves included, had naturally practiced polyamory and polygamy for all of human history.
Not out too fine a point on it, but monogamy only became enforced in Europe to create clear inheritance lines and for political stability, because the fewer able-bodied unmarried men you have in your society, the less unrest the state has to contend with.
Now, to be fair, many men genuinely prefer monogamy, mostly because they lack the energy or resources for multiple relationships. But this does not take away from nature and biology and the fact that the loudest men enforcing monogamy are screaming from inside the closet where they’re busy policing each other.
South Africa has 257 municipalities split into 3 types:
- 8 metropolitan
- 44 district
- 205 local
There are 257 mayors, voted into power by 9,473 municipal councillors. Minimum of 3 to a max of 270 per municipality.
The 9,473 councillors is who we are voting for on 4 November 2026.
Politicians refuse to teach you this properly. The IEC does a poor job of teaching this.
If 9,473 young people occupied these seats as independents... all municipalities would be turned upside down, career politicians would lose power & the wealthy elite would be in trouble overnight.
Alternatively... we can find 9500 young people to represent all municipalities as movements, fundraise like Afriforum & completely govern municipalities more powerfully than political parties.
Politics is GOVERNANCE of the city. And you can create whatever political system you want. Monarch. Religion. Online Platforms. Schools. NPOs. As long as you are governing your city the way you want.
4 November 2026. Local Government Elections. Then 2029... it's National Government Elections.
The IEC must fund me... ayikho lento.
End.

*MONDAY 27 JULY 2026*
I have been inundated with calls from the media from this morning to respond to the SIU's so-called preservation order of my properties in Johannesburg and Pretoria. It is clear from the questions that the media, just like the SIU, is ill-informed and failing to investigate the true facts around the properties in question. The media seems to be in a rush to publish even where the narrative is factually incorrect. For now, I will not be responding to the overwhelming media inquiries or request for interviews.
I am currently focused on compiling my Answering Affidavit to deal substantively and in detail with each and every lie the SIU has been publicly peddling against me over the past 24 hours. My affidavit will set the record straight regarding the SIU's action and provide concrete evidence on the two properties, as I did during my testimony at the State Capture Commission. The media will have access to my Affidavit once it is filed on 19 August 2026, and only then will I be taking questions. During the intervening period, I urge the media to undertake basic research to establish the true facts, and not allow themselves to be the mouthpiece of the SIU.
I have been studying the ex parte application by the SIU and noted deliberate misrepresentations to the Special Tribunal. The SIU was and should have been aware that the many assertions in their affidavit are false, but went out of its way, under oath, to make fraudulent misrepresentation to the Special Tribunal to obtain its interim order.
I would like to state that at the end of the matter, once the court has vindicated my rights, I will press criminal charges against the Acting Head of the SIU, Mr Leonard Lekgetho and the deponent of the SIU affidavit, Mr Smangaliso Mkhwanazi, for perjury.
Further to the above, I will be approaching the Legal Practice Council (LPC) to lay formal complaints of unethical and unprofessional conduct against the two. I assume they are admitted as legal practitioners.
All these actions which I intend to take, do not detract from the fact that I also reserve my right to institute civil action against the leadership of the SIU for damages suffered by me and my family.
I reiterate that the false information is put in the public domain for the sole purpose of ruining my reputation. I reject the SIU's bid and, as stated, am preparing to take it head-on.

THE SIU HAS BECOME DESPERATE
I’m at peace with myself and the world around me. I know myself and the deep roots that define me as an African.
Just to separate, at the very outset, fact from fiction. The SIU did not obtain any order to freeze my assets. The legal process is simple: an Organ of State would approach a court to seek a Provisional Order, as part of initiating its legal action. You are not notified or served papers at this stage.
In this particular case, the SIU approached the Tribunal (which is equivalent to a court) to seek a provisional order, pending my filing of a notice to oppose, within 10 days. I was served with papers on or about 9 July 2026, and filed my notice to oppose last Thursday. In terms of the Uniform Rules of the Court, I’m required to file my opposing affidavit within 20 working days from the date of the filing of my notice to oppose, which falls on 19 August 2026. This is the same process SARS followed to try and sequestration me.
So, the SIU obtained a provisional order to initiate legal action against me, but has not obtained a Preservation Order. As the word says PROVISIONAL! But why rush to proclaim victory at the very start of the process. I suspect the SIU was too excited and unleashed its overzealous propaganda machinery on me, but forgot to first check with its attorneys if I had already filed my notice to oppose their nonsensical application. Even if I had failed to meet the Thursday deadline, I would still have the right to approach the Tribunal, seeking condonation. No need to rush to the media to claim a hollow and non-existent victory.
What surprises me is the SIU choosing Sunday, a holy day for many Christians in the land, to lie to citizens that it had obtained a preservation order against two of my properties. It is a blue lie. It obtained a provisional order to start the legal process. They chose Sunday to tell this lie, hoping this will have the biggest impact and present me as a criminal.
Organs of State have over the years worked in a coordinated manner to bring me down. I trampled on the toes of Govt Ministers and senior ANC leaders when I refused to give them a share of the R53 billion new-train contract (the Gibela contract). They’ve set the dogs (law-enforcement agencies) on me. Every time they tried, they failed.
It all stared when the now-discredited Paul O’Sullivan laid charges against me at the Brooklyn Police Station in 2016, submitting a 22-page sworn statement full of innuendo but lacking in substance. Then entered Werksmans et al, infiltrated the DPCI through one Ryan Sacks of Howarth Forensics, to manipulate evidence so as to secure my prosecution on trumped-up charges. All these attempts failed. The work of a Living God 🙏🏾🙏🏾.
The Hawks (DPCI) then set up a special team under one Captain Ndlela to pursue me, interviewed many of my former colleagues, apparently asking them, “give us something on Lucky Montana”. No evidence emerged to nail me.
SARS followed, creating a fictional or non-existing tax debt of R55 million and instituted sequestration proceedings against my estate.
I’m used to such abuse of power and systematic onslaught. As recent as June 2026, I got information one Captain Govender from DPCI pressured PRASA to lay a false charge of theft of documents, so they could arrest me. The desperation is beyond me. Unfortunately for the State, some of us are wired differently and are not intimidated by nonsense.
It is now the turn of the SIU. It chose to revive the very same manufactured lies to pursue me. The SIU will fail.
So, I have read this script before, repeated so many times, in many different forms. As part of my peace, I stand still and watch. All I know is these will pass.
The SIU and other Organs of State continue to dream of the day they will feed on the carcass of Lucky Montana. But this will not happen, not in this lifetime.
I wish the SIU all the best in this latest attempt but they will not get any of my houses.
END!
It’s a pity you have not realised that I long ago stopped debating migration with you. We stand on opposite sides of this issue, just as we do on your support for Donald Trump and his imperialist, oligarchic agenda. I oppose xenophobia, racism and every form of hatred. That has never changed.
Nor do I regard you as one of those who cannot read. You know perfectly well that the article I shared was written by a journalist, based on interviews with residents who say the price of bread rose from R20 to R30 after migrant-owned spaza shops disappeared from their communities.
I also look forward to the Statistics South Africa report for the end of June. I have little doubt it will reveal that even more people have lost their jobs. When I circulate those figures, will you once again accuse me of hating South Africans?
Instead of engaging with the evidence, critiquing the article, or conducting your own investigation to challenge its conclusions, you have chosen the easier route: accusing me of “hating South Africans.”
Not surprisingly, more than 700 people have already reposted your claim without even reading the article. That is exactly how mob justice works. First comes the slogan, then the crowd, and only afterwards - if ever - the facts. “Elethu yebo! Akasithandi! Uvikela amak…”
Facts become irrelevant once the crowd has found someone to condemn.
It is this same mob mentality that led to innocent people being sjambokked, assaulted and murdered in the xenophobic violence of 2008, when 64 people lost their lives. Sadly, more lives have already been lost in 2026.
Because we have known each other for so long, I will buy you Hugh Masekela’s album with those timeless lyrics:
“Ngobese khawuyeke ukubiza abantu izilwane, nabo ngabantu. Uzovuka nini?”
Those words challenge all of us. The moment we start calling fellow human beings “animals”, we begin to justify treating them as less than human. History has taught us where that road ends.
