@bneeditor She probably meant that the interview was pre-approved from the side of the interviewee, as in the billionaire had his talking points cleared with the Kremlin
@durov They are specifically talking about child abuse, CP, and other morally repugnant things that are present on the platform - and the fact that there's very little moderation for it, with numerous reports being ignored /going nowhere.
@DGodefridi You'd be no different than narcissistic Trump, the man you so self-righteously love to disdain. Now you're the one crying because Zelensky didn't say thank you x100. EU funds Ukraine out of necessity not mercy. Even with traditional french shortsightedness you surely get that?
@BohuslavskaKate@yarotrof Idk why people are so obsessed with him, last time someone appointed a former head of intelligence to lead an Eastern European state, it very much backfired in the long run, and similarly endearing jokes about him were made in the process. Be careful with spies even on your side
@laurnorman True. Yet US involvement is still arguably more consequential war-wise. EU's funding is not mercy but long term strategic necessity. I don't think he lost his pitch, maybe a different objective? E.g. scoring a point with Trump? I doubt he believes any speech can make Europe act.
@yuanyi_z Is Europe doing it out of sheer mercy for poor Ukrainians or long term strategic necessity? If they cut the funding because he didn't say 'thank you' enough times, they'll just repeat what Trump did. And limiting Ukraine's offensive capabilities has been the strategy for 4 years
@mariatad So what are they gonna do about it? Stop the funding? Well then they'll be ironically acting like Trump after Zelensky hadn't said 'thank you' enough times. They can be pissed at him all they want, they are funding Ukraine not out of mercy but their own necessity.
@DrewPavlou but have you seen the reactions? Twitter liberals when an American politician made a coherent speech instead of a bunch of angry monke sounds:
@BrankoMilan and despite being perpetually shagged in the arse, Serbs have always loved the idea, on the tiny off chance one day they might actually get to defenestrate someone else
Old clip of Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the late Russian ultranationalist politician and LDPR leader, where he suggests a U.S.–Russia trade-off.
He says Trump could “take Venezuela” while Russia “takes Ukraine,” arguing Moscow should help Trump win so he becomes “dependent on us.”
