Under what possible law can Israel destroy 80% of Syria’s military capacity in 72 hours?

Those are the weapons of a sovereign nation state, one of the key aspects of sovereignty is the ability of a state to defend itself.

Israel, in reality, defends itself against not force, but the very possibility of military parity and real sovereignty, because that would mean having to treat those states as equals.

And more worryingly, why is there basically no media reporting on this spectacular act of aggression?
