It's worth stating that while I think it is narratively true that the story works better if Jax isn't trans, it is also true that trans fans only get to see themselves in Jax if Jax is a repper who not only doesn't get but doesn't deserve a happy ending

As much as I wish it was there, Jax isn't canonically trans in TADC and if he's repressing, that actively makes the story worse. I wish they went for it instead of just leaving hints, because instead they leave two irresponsible stories with different meanings awkwardly entangled
