He has an inflated, almost grandiose view of his own importance. He wasn’t invited to the Swedish parliament by the Riksdag, he was invited by parts of the Iranian diaspora, with involvement from parties like Sweden Democrats and Christian Democrats, which are known for their critical stance on immigration. He has virtually no presence in Swedish media, no headlines, no real influence. Outside of certain Iranian circles, hardly anyone here even knows who he is. He required protection from around 170 police officers, an astonishing use of taxpayer money, especially given that the high threat level surrounding him is not without reason.
