🚨 The Bond Market Just Broke: Japan Dumps $26 Billion in Treasuries While America Is Buying Back Its Own Bonds

Today, the US Treasury admitted the long end of the bond market is broken. Nobody wanted the 10-year, 20-year, or 30-year debt. The 30-year yield just slammed into its highest level since 2007 (peaking near 5.33%).

So what did they do?

They announced they’re AT LEAST DOUBLING their liquidity buybacks of those exact long-term bonds, from a $2 billion max per operation to $4 billion+ starting September 9.

They’re literally borrowing short-term money to buy back their own long-term debt. Classic desperation move. Bond prices spiked, yields crashed 9-10 bps, and futures ripped higher the second the news dropped.

Meanwhile Japan, still the #1 foreign holder of US Treasuries is dumping them to fund currency interventions.

The BoJ and finance minister threatened of bold actions to save the yen. BoJ’s Yuto apologized for the measures being prepared.

June data just showed Japan cut holdings by another $26.4 billion (down to $1.117 trillion).

That follows the massive joint US-Japan yen-buying intervention in late July that burned tens of billions of dollars trying to stop the yen from hitting 40-year lows near 164. The yen has already given back more than half those gains and is back above 159.

When the biggest foreign buyer is selling Treasuries to defend its own currency… and the US government is forced to step in and buy its own unwanted long bonds… this isn’t “market support.” This is the system flashing red.

The famous City Of London banker @LordBelgrave had already warned about the planned debt, oil + currency financial crisis at the start of the year. It is now being executed.

Yields are the gravity of everything, your mortgage, stocks, crypto, gold. The can just got kicked harder and farther. Don’t look away.

We're tracking very close to what we've seen in July during prior cycles for $BTC.

The sequence in bear market years has been the same:

> Set a low in late June/early July
> Spend the rest of the month rallying

2018 rallied nearly 22% in July, and 2022 did 18%.

So far, we're up 13% on the month.

If we rally to $66.5K, that puts us at 16%, while a breakout above $70K would make it the biggest July in $BTC history, which would be a slight extreme against a cycle that keeps compressing.

So if history repeats, and August turns red like it has in every prior cycle, this rally likely tops out between $67K and $70K over the next 2-3 weeks.

FOMC at the end of the month runs a similar script. Pump into the meeting, then a period of red after it.

I could be wrong. But two historical timing confluences converging on the same window isn't something I'm willing to ignore.

Ingat BSC tahun 2021?

Dividend paying token saat itu (menurutku) salah satu meta terbesar di BSC setelah era farms LP v2 dan auto liquidity.

Waktu itu hampir setiap hari muncul token baru dengan ciri khas embel² "Earn BUSD while holding *****" atau "Hold ***** Get BUSD every ** minutes" dsb.

Kebanyakan dividendnya dibayar pake BUSD, tapi ada juga yg pake CAKE, BTCB, ETH, DOGE, ADA, dll.

Mekanismenya sederhana. Si Token tsb dibuat dengan mengenakan tax fee tx (ex 10%–20% bahkan lebih), lalu sebagian fee nya dibagikan sebagai dividend kepada holder.

Konsep passive income ini bener² disukai banget, tapi banyak juga yg fomo beli bukan karena utilitasnya, melainkan untuk mendapatkan dividend perjam bahkan permenit.

Beberapa projek yg cukup dikenal saat itu (menurutku) HODL Token (salah satu paling viral dengan reward BNB/BUSD). Lalu ada BabyCake dengan reward token CAKE. Ada juga BabyBTC, BabyETH, BabyADA, dan ratusan token lain dengan konsep serupa (Baby Baby Baby).

Pada puncaknya, banyak token yg mencapai MCAP puluhan hingga ratusan juta USD.
Launch baru sering kali habis diborong dalam hitungan menit.
Hampir semua developer mencoba membuat "reward token" versi mereka sendiri.
Namun hype tsb akhirnya mereda karena beberapa faktor.

- Banyak projek copas.
- Banyak rug pull + scam.
- Tax fee tx tinggi membuat aktivitas swap menurun.
- Dividend yg diterima holder ikut mengecil ketika vol tx menurun.

Dan sekarang mulai bermunculan dividend paying tokenized stocks token di Robinhood.

De javu buat yg pernah melewati era BSC 2021. 🤣🤣
