@sanchitg14 Very true. Need to start lobbying for private sector employees.
Hard earned money going away in freebies and additional payout for govt employees. Policies like taxing PF interest have differential treatment to govt employees where private sector employees are taxed more. Painful

I sincerely feel epfo should pay penalty for delaying interest payments.

It's already time for this year's interest payment, also there is not accountability on this. This is absolutely high handedness. Privat sector employees are treated as milking cows that's all.

Why should the same treatment not be given to government organizations when it comes to issues like these of delayed interest payments ?

It is almost a year now and we have not got interest for fy21-22 yet. Ideally this should have been credited by March 31st, 2022.

Also add penalty clause if interest is not paid on time.

@socialepfo @EPFO @epfo - Now that we are almost nearing end of 2022 - 2023, what is the reason we are still not seeing interest for 2021-2022 credited to EPFO account ? Is there any penalty that epfo organization pays to account holders for such an extreme delay in payments ?

@Ravisutanjani Better reforms and realistic numbers when it comes to taxation rebates is need of the hour.
Also government needs to treat private sector employees and govt employees with equality and stop treating private sector employees as cash cows.
