Today, we FMGs are at the NMC protesting against the notice published by @NMC_BHARAT on 6 March 2026, which gives clarification regarding COVID-19 online classes. NMC is issuing this clarification six years after the pandemic and is now asking us to follow it. Today, AFA (@official_afa_) and AIMSA(@official_aimsa), with the collective support of all FMGs, are demanding that @NMC_BHARAT withdraw this notice.”

5Days & ZERO CLARIFICATION from @NMC_BHARAT
While #IMGs are protected, why are #FMGs under 2002 Regulations being harassed? Students who physically travelled to Ukraine post-war or used Mobility for OFFLINE classesare being forced into 1-2 years of extra 'compensation.' This is not regulation; it’s a scam!
States like MP etc are already torturing us with 3-year internships. By handing verification to State Medical Councils, you are feeding the same corruption exposed by the Rajasthan SOG. 🏛️💸
LISTEN CAREFULLY @NMC_BHARAT
If these 'Black Rules' aren't amended immediately, thousands of FMGs will march to DELHI FOR A MASS PROTEST. ✊🔥
We won't let your systemic failures ruin our lives. Stop the harassment or face the heat on the streets! 🩺

@NMC_BHARAT Here is the notice whether IMGs need to do supplement their online classes during Covid-19 pandemic. As per 30.09.2020 public notice,Nmc clearly stated that IMGs should supplement their online classes during pandemic with practical clinical training.

No IMG whether he is in final year/first year who undergone online during pandemic never undergone additional classes post pandemic but rather given Permanent registration to thousands of IMGs by SMCs post their graduation without any extension of their academic year nor produced a certificate of compensation of their online classes through practical /clinical training .,

BUT still no questions asked they advance in their carrers while FMGs are used as scape goats. Their is no IMG who is doing one more additional year of internship to least possible. This discrimination and inequality should end.

They followed @NMC_BHARAT policies ,compensated for online mode of education, did final year offline and cleared FMGE.

Rewriting policies after the fact undermines fairness and trust in the system.

@official_aimsa demands fair and consistent policies for foreign medical graduates across the nation.

Despite the Andhra High Court clearly outlining these points in its verdict, @NMC_BHARAT has still chosen to harass FMGs by issuing arbitrary compensation rules in the public notice dated 06/03/26.

A candidate with –40 marks in Neetpg can become a specialist doctor in this country, yet Foreign Medical Graduates who have already compensated for their online classes, cleared the FMGE and are diligently completing internships are being burdened with new superimposed guidelines every single year since COVID.

The irony is undeniable: COVID struck in 2020–21, but even today @NMC_BHARAT continues to publish guidelines citing “COVID online classes” as if the pandemic were ongoing. This is not regulation it is harassment on FMGs.

On this Doctors' Day, let's look beyond the stethoscope.
Behind every diagnosis lies a story of sleepless nights, missed family moments, and the quiet burden of decisions that weigh on a doctor's conscience long after the shift ends.
While the world claps for the white coat, they often overlook the weight it carries-of long hours, emotional exhaustion, and systemic challenges. From young interns grappling with impossible odds to senior doctors carrying the scars of relentless duty, the medical journey is not just one of science, but of sacrifice.
To those who choose patients over personal comfort, truth over compromise, and ethics over shortcuts you are the backbone of not just medicine, but of hope.
Today, we celebrate not just your title, but your tenacity.
Happy Doctors' Day.

Chandrababu Garu, isn’t this an utterly disgraceful government? How can you justify unleashing the police on students who have completed their medical education abroad? Despite clearing the Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) Examination as per NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines and completing their internships here itself, why is your government refusing to issue them Permanent Registration (PR) numbers? This is just a procedural formality. Why are you harassing them by deliberately withholding it? Is this how governance is supposed to function?

Is it your policy to attack those who question your mistakes with the police force? For the past year, you have been discriminating against these students, exploiting them in the name of internships and forcing them into prolonged unpaid labour to benefit private medical colleges. Isn’t it a fact that you are intentionally denying them PR numbers to serve the vested interests of private institutions?

Parents have sold properties and taken loans to educate their children abroad with the dream of seeing them become doctors. Those students worked hard, completed their courses and returned with hope. But your government is treating them like outcasts, pushing their careers into darkness. How fair is this injustice? Isn't it clear that your government’s aim is to demoralize these students?

When our government was in power, we worked hard to ensure that students would not need to go abroad. We initiated 17 government medical colleges with 2,550 new seats and five of them were already operational. The remaining were progressing rapidly. But after coming to power, your government stalled all of them. Is there any other instance in the country’s history where a government rejected seats allocated by the central government? Yours is the only one.

For the sake of your corruption, you are plotting to privatize those colleges. You even wrote back to the NMC refusing the seats sanctioned for Pulivendula Medical College, destroying the future of countless students.

Now the very students who opted for foreign education to reduce costs and completed their degrees with immense struggle are being harassed by denying them PR numbers. Worse, when they question this injustice, you send them to police stations. What kind of deep-seated grudge do you hold against these students and their families, Chandrababu?

I demand that your government immediately issue relieving orders to all students who have completed their internships and grant Permanent Registration numbers to all candidates who have cleared the FMG exam strictly in accordance with NMC guidelines.

Foreign medical graduates in Andhra Pradesh are on a hunger strike because the APMC is not issuing permanent registrations(license), rendering them unable to practice despite complying with @NMC_BHARAT guidelines by fmgs. APMC registrar is disregarding these and refusing to grant PR. Authorities like these are the real reason FMGs continue to suffer—creating their own rules without any official documentation. @NMC_BHARAT and concern authorities must take immediate action and ensure permanent registration for these FMGs. @AndhraPradeshCM @PawanKalyan @APDeputyCMO @TOI_Andhra @Xpress_edex
