Supreme Court today issued notice on a writ petition filed by the Democratic Medical Association challenging the manner in which the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) disclosed the answer key and candidates’ responses for NEET-PG 2026.
The Supreme Court on Thursday heard submissions in a petition seeking greater transparency in the NEET PG 2026 evaluation process, with Justice P S Narasimha observing that the issue raised was already under examination in connected matters.
The petition, filed by the Democratic Medical Association and other petitioners, seeks disclosure of the actual NEET PG 2026 question papers, candidates' response sheets and answer keys.

This is far from transparency; it is merely an eyewash.
After keeping NEET-PG aspirants waiting, NBEMS has released only Question IDs, option IDs (1/2/3/4), response status and marks, while withholding the actual questions and answer options.
How can transparency be ensured without access to the questions themselves?

NEET-PG 2026 UPDATE: A Writ Petition (Diary No. 61605/2026) under Art. 32 has been filed in the Supreme Court by the Democratic Medical Association and aspirant doctors—via Legal Cell for all India Doctors Adv. Satyam Singh Rajput, and AOR Ms. Neema—challenging NBEMS’s Oct 1 notice. The plea argues that releasing only Question IDs and option numbers is insufficient due to question shuffling, urgently demanding candidate-specific question papers, recorded responses, official answer keys, and a time-bound objection window before counselling begins (without seeking re-evaluation or court intervention on medical answers; matter is sub judice).
The petition has been filed by Supreme Court Advocate and Co Founder of Legal cell for all India doctors @advsatyamrajput who has previously represented in Single shift case of Neet pg and won that case as a landmark judgement .
We have taken the matter of NEET PG transparency to court after receiving thousands of complaints from Doctors .l
The support of each one of you matters to bring transparency in your results
