Andersen could very well become the next FP
Also a really thoughtful ad for Rattrapante WorldTimer which shows New Delhi Time with Venus movement spec in the background
Venus made the legendary column wheel 185 Rattrapante movement and the watch pictured uses a similar movement.
@swapan55 ...born & raised around South End Park so most of my family & friends are there. They are sharing some very concerning info. Bappai (Manish Kumar Mitra), someone I knew personally & who worked with Sona Pappu is going around with BJP flag & threatening folks. He is 1/2
One of my clients does $2M a year in house cleaning.
His operations are dialed. His ads are printing. His team runs 28 houses a day without him.
His website still has stock photos.
I told him straight up. Get a photographer. You and your wife and your kids in the company shirts. Real photos. Real family. Put that on the homepage.
People want to hire a family owned cleaning company. Not a template that looks like every other site on Google.
At his volume even a small bump in conversion rate is six figures. He's leaving money on the table over a $2,000 photo shoot.
He said he's going to do it but will he👀

No one pays for CapEx, debt, or salaries, etc., with EPS. Operating and free cash (all cash ex-maintenance CapEx is free cash) is king!
Pages 228-230 in my book clearly explain why P/E is a dangerous ratio to value most businesses, not just healthcare. Use case flow-based valuations. In fact, use the average 3-year operating cash flow and not the trailing 12 months.
Book: Framing Business Uncertainty 👇
Two very different companies. One surprisingly similar operating profile.
PVR INOX is almost 50 times larger than Connplex in revenue. But when you study the unit-level numbers, the picture becomes interesting.
Both run with similar average ticket prices. Both earn comparable revenue per seat. Both report almost identical EBITDA margins . Yet the bottom line tells a completely different story.
Connplex delivers a 20 percent PAT margin. PVR INOX stays closer to 1.6 percent. The reason sits quietly in the P&L: depreciation and interest.
Scale brings reach, but it also brings weight. A capital-heavy model absorbs the cost of expansion every single year. A capital-efficient model keeps that burden light. Connplex benefits from that lightness. PVR INOX pays for its size.
And in the gap between the centre and the margin, a new pattern starts to emerge.

Dear India. Please change your approach to buying urea.
In the past, when supplies were plentiful, a large volume purchase got you a discount.
That is not the world today. Large volume hurts you.
Of the 8 previous tenders, all but 2 have "failed" to reach stated volume.
I rarely tweet about politics. I stick to balance sheets, not ballot boxes. But as an investor, I am seeing a "non-financial" risk in India that could derail "India Growth Story"
There is a "Economic Sabotage Playbook" being activated right now. Here is how it is looking. #BiharElection2025 #IndiaGrowthStory
Dear @grok
How much is the price in rupees to procure a fully equipped heavy duty road sweeping machine in India? If Karnataka Government buys 46 machines how much will it cost?
Setting the Context:
Karnataka Cabinet approves ₹613 Cr to RENT (NOT BUY OR LEASE) 46 sweeping machines for Bengaluru for 7 years.
So that works out to 13 Crore per machine or 15 Lakh per month per machine 😀😀 Of tax payers money 💪
In my View, One machine should not be more than 1-3 Cr 🤡 Which means this procurement should have been done within 150 Cr. And they can be used for years. The saved money can be put in FD and interest can take care of maintenance for decades.
@grok pls give Detailed answer only for @GBAChiefComm & @DKShivakumar ji

SRA is a massively corrupt organization. They are selling out open spaces despite High Court Order. Maharashtra Government not keeping any check on corruption.
@Dev_Fadnavis do you plan to take action against this blatant corruption or will you take action when there is a public outcry. @mieknathshinde plz look into this asap.
SRA CEO Mahendra Kalyankar refused to comment as he knows he has no answer.

Warren Buffett is 95. He is completely retiring and Greg Abel would be the new head for Berkshire Hathaway. Warren Buffett would no longer write annual letters to shareholders or participate in AGMs ( Annual General Meetings).
Yesterday he wrote a farewell letter. I've reproduced a section of it in the screenshot.
Two gems:
Kindness is costless but also priceless.
Keep in mind the cleaning leady is as much a human being as the Chairman.
Hello @Dev_Fadnavis. Can you also please order a probe into Parel land issue where Sattva Developers is building. Open RG Ground rules have been flouted by SRA and BMC.
