His Excellency, the President of Religious Affairs, Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, congratulates the wise leadership, pilgrims, Umrah performers, and all Muslims on the occasion of the Blessed Eid al-Fitr.
As usual, I believe some people have cleaned their camera lenses, eagerly waiting to capture images of the moon tonight and perhaps begin their usual remarks about this moon not being a first crescent. Unfortunately, I have bad news: the crescent will still not be visible to the naked eye this evening in Nigeria bi izinillah . This is because the moon's age will be just over 16 hours, and a crescent is typically easily visible with the naked eye when it reaches 18 hours or more. Additionally, the moonโs illumination will be less than 0.5%. Even in Niger Republic and Mali, where sightings of the crescent were claimed yesterday, it will not be visible today.
The crescent should be easily visible to the naked eye tomorrow, Friday, In shaa Allah because it will be about 40hrs old by sunset in Nigeria .
Allah has made it possible for us to understand the movements of the sun and moon, as evidenced by many verses in the Quran. Allah stated in the Quran: Surah Ar-Rahman (55:5) states: "The sun and the moon move along their computed courses" (or follow a precise calculation). This verse highlights the perfect, ordained, and punctual motion of the celestial bodies as a sign of Allahโs mercy, power, and precise design in the universe, emphasizing order, consistency, and divine regulation.
Allahu aโalaam!!!
O Allah! You are the bearer of all that is in our hearts. Relieve us in our worries, pain and hardships. You know the reality behind are faces. Oh Allah! Relieve us!
O Allah, whoever intends evil against us, let the evil be upon them; and whoever intends deceit against us, let the deceit encompass them from every side. O Allah, make us safe in our homelands and our homes
O Allah, grant honor and strength to Islam and the Muslims; abase polytheism and the polytheists; destroy Your enemies, the enemies of the religion , grant us security in our homelands and set right our leaders and those entrusted with our affairs.
O Allah, as the final moments of Ramadan 1447 slip away, we stand before You with hearts humbled and hopeful.
O Allah, accept from us our fasting, our prayers, our recitation, our charity, and every tear shed for Your sake. Accept it from us, even if it was imperfect, for You are the Most Generous, the Most Merciful.
O Allah, forgive our sins the past and the present, the hidden and the apparent. Cleanse our hearts, purify our intentions, and write us among those who are freed from the Fire in this blessed month.
O Allah, keep us steadfast after Ramadan. Do not let our worship end with its ending. Make us among those who remain consistent in prayer, remembrance, and righteousness throughout the year.
O Allah, unite our hearts, ease the hardships of the Ummah, grant relief to the oppressed, and bring peace and dignity to our brothers and sisters across the world.
O Allah, accept our duสฟฤโ, for You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
