New phone, new EMI… same old bills! 😂 Maybe it’s time we queue up to make a difference, not just upgrade our phones. The real upgrade is a better society. ❤️
Sending lots of love to the Apple community on my last day as CEO. My title changes tomorrow, but the love I have for the Apple community never will. Thank you for being a constant source of inspiration. My gratitude is endless, and I’m excited for the next chapter!
Some of my clearest moments of reflection have come while spending time in our national parks. Grateful to see Yosemite captured so beautifully by Glenn Lee Robinson in this #ShotOniPhone photo. #NationalParkWeek
Had the honour of meeting Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @Narendramodi Ji and discussed the present situation, development priorities and aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
I highlighted the transformation witnessed in J&K,from bloodshed to classrooms and sports fields, from hartals to business and productive activity, and from fear to confidence. Peace has restored hope, security and dignity, and the next step must be to firmly translate this change into sustained prosperity and opportunity for our people.
Our discussion focused on a stronger future for J&K’s youth through employment, entrepreneurship, skill development, sports and self-employment, along with strengthening tourism, connectivity, industry, agriculture, horticulture and trade.
I also emphasized greater promotion of J&K’s GI-tagged products, enabling our farmers, artisans and entrepreneurs to access better markets and opportunities.
We discussed the need for transparency and effective monitoring of development funds and Centrally funded projects, ensuring timely execution and that public money reaches the intended beneficiaries.
Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji emphasized the importance of minorities contributing their capabilities and services to the larger national mission of Viksit Bharat.
The next phase of J&K must be about peace with prosperity, security with dignity, development with accountability and opportunity with participation.
Cracking the UPSC is difficult. Becoming an IPS officer is even harder.
But why are some young officers choosing to walk away?
The question is back in the spotlight after the 2025 batch: Odisha cadre IPS officer C.A. Ramdas resigned while undergoing Phase I training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad. He had not even taken up his first field posting.
His resignation comes just days after Jagmohan Meena, a 2013 batch Odisha cadre IPS officer and former DCP of Bhubaneswar, also stepped down from the service.
Together, their exits have drawn attention to a larger trend.
In the past few months, eight IPS officers have resigned. Seven of them are below the age of 40.
Interestingly, many have chosen completely different career paths.
Siddharth Kaushal, a 2012 batch Andhra Pradesh cadre IPS officer, reportedly joined Reliance Industries. Lokeshwar Singh, a 2014 batch Uttarakhand cadre IPS officer, is understood to have taken up a United Nations-linked assignment.
Former 2013 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IPS officer Abhishek Tiwari is now pursuing entrepreneurship after serving in important cybercrime investigations. The resignations of Kamya Mishra and Nurul Hoda also attracted public attention.
The resignations have also come at a time when the Indian Police Service is already facing a shortage of officers.
Earlier this year, the government informed Parliament that more than 500 IPS posts are vacant, affecting not only state police forces but also agencies like the CBI, IB and other central organizations.
There is no official common reason behind these resignations. Every officer has a different story.
But together, these decisions have started an important conversation about changing career aspirations in India's civil services. The discussion is only getting bigger.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. My deepest condolences to Mustafa Kamal Sahib and the entire family. May Allah (SWT) bless the departed soul with Jannat-ul-Firdous and grant the bereaved family sabr-e-jameel. Ameen
My father’s younger brother Dr Mustafa Kamal passed away earlier this evening at Paras hospital in Srinagar. Uncle Mustafa had been unwell for some months but took a turn for the worse 4 days ago. He put up a brave fight holding on against the odds. The doctors & staff treating him were amazing but Allah called him for his final journey. May Allah grant uncle Mustafa the highest place in Jannat.
