Governor Sani has promoted unity across Kaduna State by associating with residents of all religious and tribal backgrounds, attending Christmas carols with the Christian community and major Muslim gatherings. His inclusive approach has significantly strengthened statewide harmony.

Resident Doctors Commend Governor Uba Sani for Prioritising Welfare, Remuneration, and Healthcare Infrastructure

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has lauded the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, for his administration's sustained commitment to upgrading the healthcare sector and improving the working conditions of medical doctors.

In a communiqué released at the end of its July 2026 National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Gombe, the national body of resident doctors singled out Governor Uba Sani for prioritising the welfare of medical practitioners within Kaduna State.

According to NARD, Governor Sani's strategic interventions have delivered targeted improvements in:
- Remuneration: Enhancing the financial package and entitlements for resident doctors.
- Healthcare Infrastructure: Upgrading facility standards and medical equipment across state health centres.
- Manpower Development & Working Conditions: Facilitating continuous training and fostering a safer, conducive working environment for medical professionals.

Commending these achievements, NARD urged other state governors across the federation to emulate Governor Uba Sani's leadership model in order to strengthen healthcare delivery nationwide and address manpower challenges in the medical sector.

I was honoured to join friends and football lovers in Zaria for the final match between Wonder Boys FC Zaria and Strikers FC Zaria, sponsored by my friend and brother, Iliyasu Balarabe, Deputy Chief of Staff to Speaker Abbas Tajuddeen.

It was a fiery, competitive match that went down to a penalty shootout, with Strikers FC taking the win.

I urge people in similar positions who have the financial capacity to organise events like this, as it will directly support Governor Uba Sani's administration in making sports a tool not just for entertainment, but for job creation and youth empowerment.

It was a blend of joy and honour to attend the annual ABUSRC Cultural Carnival yesterday as a special guest. As an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, it was a proud moment to see our friend and brother, former Accountant General Bashir Zuntu—incoming member representing Ikara/Kubau Federal Constituency- honoured by the student body for supporting them.

Returning to campus for an event like this was a deeply reflective experience that brought back fond memories of my undergraduate days.

Kudos to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adamu Abdullahi, for his relentless drive to restore the university to its glory days. We deeply appreciate his warm reception and gladly convey his heartfelt gratitude to the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, for transforming the campus with an extensive new road network.

MANDO –BIRNIN GWARI ROAD: 10 WAYS PRESIDENT TINUBU AND GOV UBA SANI GOT IT RIGHT

For years, Birnin Gwari was a byword for isolation and insecurity. That's changing — 122km of concrete at a time.

1. THE 122 KILOMETRES OF HOPE
The road stretches the full distance from Mando in Kaduna to Birnin Gwari town — a corridor that has waited decades for this kind of federal attention.

2. THE ₦178 BILLION COMMITTED
The Federal Government approved this sum for the project, with Governor Uba Sani confirming over ₦100 billion (precisely ₦100,000,078,000) already released by President Tinubu to get work moving.

3. BUILT FOR A CENTURY, NOT A SEASON
The road will be constructed using Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP) technology — the same rigid-pavement standard the Ministry of Works says can serve Nigerians for up to 100 years.

4. ANOTHER TINUBU CAMPAIGN PROMISE KEPT
This isn't a random project — it fulfils a commitment President Tinubu made directly to Birnin Gwari residents during his 2022/2023 campaign visit.

5. PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER
The Mando–Birnin Gwari Road is a key segment of the wider Kaduna–Lagos highway network, linking a once-isolated community to Nigeria's commercial heartbeat.

6. LEAD MAIZE PRODUCER GETS A LIFELINE
Birnin Gwari is one of Nigeria's leading maize-producing local governments — this road means farmers can finally move produce to market without the current punishing delays and losses.

7. SECURITY DIVIDEND, NOT JUST ASPHALT Beyond commerce, the road is expected to strengthen security operations in an area long affected by insecurity, restoring confidence to communities that have felt cut off.

8. HIGH-LEVEL COORDINATION BEFORE FLAG-OFF
Ahead of the groundbreaking, Governor Uba Sani met directly with Minister of Works Senator David Umahi and Minister of State for Works Bello Muhammad Goronyo to lock down preparedness.

9. NOT A STANDALONE EFFORT
It complements other Birnin Gwari infrastructure gains, including the 36km Bagoma–Gagumi road already benefiting 66 farming communities.

10. A GOVERNOR WHO KEEPS SHOWING UP With this project, Uba Sani's rural transformation drive continues to expand — proof that sustained federal-state collaboration is rebuilding Kaduna's most underserved corridors.

Today, we recorded another significant milestone in our administration’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property with the Passing-Out-Parade of over 1,000 Armed Forest Guards, trained through our strategic partnership with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and the Department of State Services (DSS). The ceremony, held at the DSS Development Centre, Afaka, Kaduna, marks a decisive step in strengthening our security architecture.

These highly trained personnel will serve as first responders within their communities, working in close collaboration with conventional security agencies to enhance surveillance, deepen intelligence gathering, and deny criminal elements the opportunity to exploit our forests as sanctuaries for violence and criminality.

The 1,000 Armed Forest Guards were selected from the existing 7,000 personnel of the Kaduna Vigilance Service (KADVS), whose operational capacity has now been significantly enhanced through specialised training. Under the established rules of engagement, they will be equipped with higher-grade firearms as against the KADVS, giving them greater capacity to confront and defeat terrorists and other criminal elements. Their deployment to their immediate communities will further strengthen intelligence gathering and operational effectiveness, as their knowledge of the local terrain will enable them to identify threats quickly and respond decisively.

I had the honour of attending the Wedding Fatiha of the son of the Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Hon. Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed, where I had the privilege of serving as the Wakili to the groom, Hamza Ibrahim Mohammed, as he solemnised his marriage to his bride, Haleemah Muhammad Auwal.

The Wedding Fatiha was held at the Kaduna Polytechnic Central Mosque, Tudun Wada, in the presence of family members, friends, associates, and well-wishers.

I congratulate the newly wedded couple and pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) blesses their union with love, peace, understanding, and abundant barakah. Ameen

Today, we take another decisive step in our collective journey towards building a more united, peaceful and inclusive Kaduna State.

After wide consultations, deep reflection and earnest prayers, I am delighted to announce the nomination of Mr. Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, CNA, as my running mate in the 2027 Governorship Election.

This decision is far greater than the selection of a deputy governorship candidate. It is a reaffirmation of the values that have guided our administration since I took the oath of office on 29 May 2023; the values of inclusion, justice, fairness, equity and the unwavering conviction that every citizen of Kaduna State deserves a genuine sense of belonging.

Kaduna is a remarkable state, blessed with extraordinary diversity of faiths, ethnicities and cultures. That diversity is not a burden; it is our greatest strength. Our history has taught us difficult lessons about the heavy cost of division, mistrust and exclusion. Yet it has also shown us that when we choose dialogue over discord, inclusion over alienation, and justice over prejudice, our people achieve extraordinary things together.

For more than three years, our administration has worked tirelessly to heal old wounds and restore confidence in government. We have deliberately ensured that the dividends of democracy reach every part of our State. Across all 23 Local Government Areas, investments in roads, schools, hospitals, water supply, agriculture, rural development and social protection have been guided by one simple principle: no community should be left behind and no citizen should feel excluded.

Together with our traditional rulers, religious leaders, community organisations, women and youth groups, we have strengthened the foundations of peace through dialogue, mutual respect and shared development. As security has improved, farmers have returned to their lands, businesses have expanded, investments have grown and hope has steadily replaced fear in many communities. Our experience has affirmed a simple truth: lasting peace is built not only by security measures but by fairness, inclusion and equal opportunity.

It is in furtherance of this vision that I have chosen Mr. Jerry Adams to join me on this journey.

Jerry Adams is an accomplished public servant, an outstanding tax administrator and an institution builder whose leadership has transformed the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service into one of Nigeria's most respected revenue agencies. Through innovation, transparency and professionalism, he has helped strengthen our fiscal capacity, enabling government to invest even more in the education of our children, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture and other critical sectors that improve the lives of our people.

Beyond his impressive professional accomplishments, Jerry Adams is a man of integrity, humility and quiet strength. He has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to peace, reconciliation and inclusive governance, believing, as I do, that Kaduna's diversity must always unite us rather than divide us. His emergence reflects our continuing determination to build a Kaduna where merit, competence and character remain the true qualifications for leadership.

As we look towards 2027, I invite every son and daughter of Kaduna State to see this moment not through the narrow prism of religion, ethnicity or geography, but through the broader vision of the Kaduna we are building together; a Kaduna where every child can dream without fear, every community can flourish, every faith is respected and every citizen has an equal stake in our common future.
