PHOTOS: Nigerian Navy organises sea tour for civilians to celebrate 70th anniversary

As part of the activities to commemorate its 70th anniversary, the Nigerian Navy on Monday organised a sea tour for civilians in Lagos and some other states.

Founded on June 1, 1956, the navy will mark 70 years of existence in June 2026.

In Lagos, the Nigerian Naval Ship (NNS) Kada sailed more than 500 civilians from the Apapa area to the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean and back to Apapa.

The navy organised the sea tour to give civilians an insight into some of its operations and provide them with firsthand experience on NNS Kada, one of the largest ships in its fleet.

The initiative was tagged “Sail with the Nigerian Navy”.
