آج میں آپ کے سامنے کھڑی ہوں۔ پنجاب کی کابینہ میں خواتین موجود ہیں، کمشنرز اور ڈی پی اوز بن رہی ہیں۔ یہ تبدیلی حقیقت ہے۔

Had the pleasure of receiving a telephone call from Rt Hon Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister of New Zealand, this afternoon.

Our warm and productive conversation focused on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic outreach to promote peace and de-escalation in the Middle East.

Grateful for Prime Minister Luxon’s appreciation and support for Pakistan’s sincere peace efforts.

We also discussed ways to further strengthen Pakistan–New Zealand relations and acknowledged the valuable contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in New Zealand.

I extended an invitation to Prime Minister Luxon to visit Pakistan. I look forward to welcoming him soon. @chrisluxonmp

As we proceed to *Islamabad Talks*, I wish to extend our deepest and sincere gratitude to our brotherly countries People’s Republic of China, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Republic of Türkiye, Arab Republic of Egypt and State of Qatar for extending invaluable and all out support towards reaching the ceasefire and giving peaceful diplomatic efforts a chance to seek a comprehensive and conclusive end to the conflict.

I would also like to deeply appreciate and thank our brotherly countries of Gulf Cooperation Council, whose consistent support and commitment to peace and stability in the region remains quintessential for our efforts.

The leadership of all our brotherly countries and United States of America demonstrated exceptional strategic foresight, sagacity and patience in giving peace a chance.

I also thank all our partners and friends across the globe who have reached out and acknowledged Pakistan’s sincere efforts for the global peace.

Let us all work together to forge a lasting peace in the region and beyond!

I had a warm and substantive conversation with President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran, this afternoon.

I conveyed my deep appreciation for the wisdom and sagacity of the Iranian leadership in accepting Pakistan’s offer to host peace talks in Islamabad later this week to work jointly for the return of peace to the region.

President Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s participation in the upcoming negotiations and expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts, while conveying his best wishes for the people of Pakistan.

Pakistan remains committed to working closely with all its friends and partners to advance peace and stability in the region and beyond.

تحدَّثتُ مع أخي العزيز صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان، وليِّ العهد ورئيس مجلس وزراء المملكة العربية السعودية، ونقلتُ إليه تضامنَ باكستان الثابتَ مع المملكة العربية السعودية. كما أدنتُ الهجومَ الذي شنَّته إيران على منشأة النفط في الجبيل في وقتٍ سابقٍ من اليوم، مؤكِّدًا أننا نقف كتفًا إلى كتف مع أشقائنا وشقيقاتنا في المملكة العربية السعودية.

Condemned today’s attack on the Al Jubeil oil facility. We stand shoulder to shoulder with our Saudi brothers and sisters.

Diplomatic efforts for peaceful settlement of the ongoing war in the Middle East are progressing steadily, strongly and powerfully with the potential to lead to substantive results in near future. To allow diplomacy to run its course, I earnestly request President Trump to extend the deadline for two weeks. Pakistan, in all sincerity, requests the Iranian brothers to open Strait of Hormuz for a corresponding period of two weeks as a goodwill gesture. We also urge all warring parties to observe a ceasefire everywhere for two weeks to allow diplomacy to achieve conclusive termination of war, in the interest of long-term peace and stability in the region.

With the greatest humility, I am pleased to announce that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon and elsewhere, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
I warmly welcome the sagacious gesture and extend deepest gratitude to the leadership of both the countries and invite their delegations to Islamabad on Friday, 10th April 2026, to further negotiate for a conclusive agreement to settle all disputes.
Both parties have displayed remarkable wisdom and understanding and have remained constructively engaged in furthering the cause of peace and stability. We earnestly hope, that the ‘Islamabad Talks’ succeed in achieving sustainable peace and wish to share more good news in coming days!
