Hot Topic picking up Indie Comics like they did late 90s to early 00s, carrying NEW fresh titles after the bubble burst but there was plenty of demand for crazy, edgy new titles even if most didn't delude themselves they were buying the next "Action comics #1" or anything...

AND they should go "Human Only" - no AI - but also HAND MADE...

The comics have to have the line art and hopefully color too done by HAND. Oh, the artists can use any reference up to AI but NO TRACING of any sort. Eye to mind to hand to paper. And for coloring IF it's done in computer, NO "Auto-Color" that IS an Ai tool, btw... If they are worried the ink will bleed or they'll F- it up just photocopy (onto bristol or other fine paper if they care) or laserjet print the B&W line art then color that.

It'd create the same anarchy of the Underground Comix Movement, the early 1980s Direct Market or the fringes/creative of the 90s Comic Boom again.

I'm all for using technology including AI - but I'm also for a "Human Only" league. However one where they PhotoSLOP Googled images and desire only to get work on one of the 99 cover variants for the 1/2 issue of the re-re-re-relaunch of "Bat-Mutant"... that is really NOT an improvement, just protecting one niche while everyone else struggles.
