As part of the #KwihazaProject, funded by the European Union (EU) through National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) under the Horticulture component and implemented by #HoReCo , 20 lead farmers from the KOTURU and KOBATU cooperatives visited KOPINDABU in Busasamana , Rubavu District for a field exchange on professional onion production. The farmers received hands-on training in onion nursery establishment and other improved agronomic practices to boost productivity and strengthen sustainable horticulture.
In his closing remarks, our CEO, @RBucyana, expressed his sincere appreciation to the farmers for their strong collaboration and excellent working relationship with HoReCo agronomists throughout the implementation of the #OMISProject. He emphasized that without this partnership and commitment from farmers, it would not have been possible for HoReCo to effectively deliver the responsibilities entrusted to it by @RwandaAgriBoard .
He encouraged them to continue embracing good agricultural practices, maintaining close collaboration with agronomists, and actively participating in project activities to enhance productivity, improve yields, and strengthen the sustainability of their farming enterprises. #OMISProject
