Muslims won't sing Vande Mataram bcuz it mentions Durga Maa, but will fight to play garba during navratri, a festival dedicated to her.. how does that even make sense 😭??
@IAmManware True for cracking coding interviews but even those positions are going to become less and hyper competitive, except the embedded/low level stuff, writing code by hand is over. Even the low level stuff is gonna go away
@Cato_0001@OjasSharma276 That's how it happens in the west mostly, still doesn't negate the fact that 1st year subjects are important. Moreover, if a CS student wants to build a robotics project, basic electronics and mechanical engineering knowledge will come in handy which is taught in 1st year
@Maxi_the_bosss@OjasSharma276 Yeah they should be more flexible with things and that's how things are in the west. Still doesn't negate the fact that 1st year subjects are important
@SsharmaKirti ROS ke baare mein aisa kuch khas nahi malum, just wanted to know if it's a mini OS or something different. Afaik, it just manages different processes and allows them to work with each other. Seekhna suru karunga jald hi
@dhyann_exe@syntaxraw@vennictus I'd say still solve the C problem sets of last 2 weeks (unless you're actively grinding leetcode/cp properly, it'll help you somewhat). Tell me if you got a better algo while doing filter-more's last filter. There HAS to be a better way than using 4 level nested loop💀
@vennictus@dhyann_exe@syntaxraw Yeah no point in feeling superior. For a complete newbie I don't think there are better options, for a more experience person, it depends but even they will benifit from doing the problem sets, no harm in solving problems, plus the problems are interesting (tideman,filter-more)
@dhyann_exe@syntaxraw@vennictus How much did you try it? First few weeks are very basic but still the way they teach feels like a breath of fresh air, not just because of how they convey the info but fundamental concepts that must be taught even before programming
@dhyann_exe@syntaxraw@vennictus Even for self taught devs who have some experience but haven't worked in something huge or a corporate environment, it will benefit them. Obviously the certificate itself holds little value and I've known that even before starting CS50
@dhyann_exe@syntaxraw@vennictus Gotta disagree with this, the problem sets in the last weeks of C were actually good and they also taught things like finding memory leaks with valgrind and writing tests. It's not beneficial only for people who have spend a really considerable amount in tech....
@savyarya@OjasSharma276 Money and job is important but we are talking about academia here. As I said, CS hi padhna hai toh BCA ya BSc CS karlo. Apart from this, whatever is taught in 1st year is actually relevant if you ever end up doing something important
