The Dodgers hosted an autism-friendly clinic at Dodger Stadium today.
Teoscar Hernández’s 6-year-old son is autistic and he was at the clinic teaching the game to other kids.
“To be here and be part of the lives of these kids and their families is what this is all about.” 🙏

We are shocked and saddened by the passing of Garret Anderson, a 17-year MLB veteran and a standout member of the 2002 World Series champion Angels.
A Los Angeles native, Anderson debuted with the Angels in 1994 and spent 15 of his 17 Major League seasons with the team. He finished his career with the Braves and Dodgers, amassing 2,529 hits and a .293 career batting average.
Anderson was a 3-time All-Star. In 2003, Anderson won the Home Run Derby, and as the starting left fielder for the AL, he went 3-for-4 with a home run to capture game MVP honors.
A member of the Angels Hall of Fame, he holds several franchise records including games played (2,013), hits (2,368), doubles (489), extra-base hits (796), RBI (1,292), and total bases (3,743).
In Game 7 of the 2002 World Series, it was Anderson’s 3-run double that provided the winning margin in a 4-1 victory to clinch the first championship in Angels history.
He was 53 years old.

Lucy Dacus took her dad to meet Bruce Springsteen.
"Introduced my dad to the boss, I have fulfilled my purpose. Needed to let y'all know because I knooow at least thousands of you have personally met my dad at shows and have some idea of what this means to him, and me. I may have made you sing him happy birthday, or you've seen him come up on stage to play 'Dancing In The Dark' on guitar, or wished him a happy father's day with me. I'm always trying to find ways to delight this little guy, but I'll never do better than this.
"I learned what music was through listening to Bruce Springsteen as a kid, as early as I was learning to speak. His songs are as integral to me as the trees I grew up around. I wouldn't write music the same way without him, maybe wouldn't write music at all. It felt really good to see him lead an arena of people in chanting ICE Out Now, and hear him talk about police brutality, labor issues, immigrant rights, class disparity, and the failings of our government, as he has been for decades, in the songs or otherwise. He has been leading people out of bigotry his whole career. I'll always respect him and be grateful he took the time to shake my dad's hand."

If you think Bruce Springsteen should shut up about politics and just play his songs, you obviously have no idea what Bruce Springsteen has been singing about for the past 50 years https://t.co/Cqa4M8pd0V
Bruce Springsteen closed his concert in Minneapolis by paying tribute to Renée Good and encouraging fans to heed John Lewis's famous call to "get into good trouble."
"These are the hard times, but we'll make it through. We're the Americans. But I think — I know — for me, the hardest part about all of this is feeling the distance between your neighbors, your fellow citizens, and that distance… well, it can darken your soul. Now we have a leader who says he wishes nothing but ill upon the people he disagrees with, and who disagree with him. I don't feel that way. America, from the beginning, was born out of disagreement. It was built on disagreement. We can argue about what course we thought the country should take while recognizing our common humanity, our dignity and, yes, our unity...
"I go back to thinking about Renée Good's last words before she died, to the man who she was protesting against, the man who would take her life. She said, 'That's fine, dude, I’m not mad at you. I'm not mad.' God bless her.
"So tonight, when you go home, hold your loved ones close. And tomorrow, do as Renée did, find a way to take aggressive, peaceful action to defend our country’s ideals. And as the great civil rights leader John Lewis said, 'Go out and get into some good trouble. Say something. Do something. Help! Sing something!' If you're feeling helpless, hopeless, betrayed, frustrated, angry … I know I've been. That's why The E Street Band is here tonight. This is a tour that was not planned. We’re here tonight because we need to feel your hope, and your strength. And we want to bring some hope and some strength for you. I hope we did that. All I can say is God bless Alex Pretti, God bless Renée Good, God bless you, and God bless America."
