Manchester United fans will complain when the club struggles to get good money for its players, but sometimes we need to look in the mirror.

We absolutely DESTROY our own players.

One bad performance and the player is getting cooked by thousands of United fans. The tweets go viral, the memes spread, the narrative grows, and suddenly the player has a reputation that follows him everywhere.

Then we’re shocked when clubs don't want to pay big money for him.

Look at Manchester City.

Savinho struggled. Marmoush struggled for minutes. Nico González never really nailed down his place.

Yet you rarely see their fanbase publicly dismantling these players the way United fans do.

City just package the player, protect the asset and move on.

PSG did the same with Ugarte. He struggled there, but they still moved him on for around €60m, basically what they had paid Sporting a year earlier.

United fans need to understand something:

You can criticise a player without destroying his market value.

Sometimes we are our own worst enemies.
